Enjoying MLR so far but the mutant spawns are ridiculous. I can't out run anything and mutants like to spawn after quicksaves often. Should I restart my playthrough with them set to 0.25? Only been to the swamps and cordon.

I don't think it's actually the duplicate warnings that are causing the crash on launch since it didn't crash before I changed the graphics settings and restarted. SSAO is off which is what normally causes this.

I would guess it has to to with you don't have DX requirements

I've always installed older versions on top of Call of Pripyat and it never gave problems plus it let me launch the game through the steam CoP launcher

Try Men of War, it's a RTS where every lil unit has its own inventory with limited supplies. Seeing enemy machinegunners run out of ammo and plinking with their sidearms ends up feeling more ridiculous than giving them hacked guns.

I'm reading old documentation and apparently the installer used to check if you actually had COP before letting you install. Interesting that they're allowed to distribute the mod without any proof of purchase for the end user, usually mods that include large quantities of licensed content for free without permission get blacklisted. I thought there had to be a way it was checking for COP before launching.

Why are you all still playing CoC instead of getting your hands on some juicy, extremely well-made Ruski mods?

CoC is a miserably empty, boring (but muh immersion) sandbox (LOL) freeplay mod with dumb AI and nothing but weapon, realism and cosmetic mods. No substance whatsoever, made for immersion virgins or 16 year olds new to the franchise.

It's literally suited to the newfaggiest of Stalker players. The ones that came out of nowhere a year or two ago that think it's meant to play like CoD and watch Stalker memes on YouTube.

For starters (even though you may not care to try them out) I would recommend OGSE 0693 and Goldsphere.
When you are finished with those, Joint Pak 2.0 or NLC7.5 are great mods.

OLR 3.0 and Paradise Lost will most likely be out by the time you are finished with either of them. Joint Pak alone will take you 100's of hours to complete.

Call of Chernobyl is the be-all, end-all mod for the Stalker series. It is the only good Stalker mod because it has lots really cool guns and I can kill enemies easily. I like guns. I like cool animations, especially when I sprint and reload. I don't like other mods because they are not in English and because they are for ShoC.
