Why french? French autoloaders got powercreeped out hard, the swede and czech autoloaders are just flat out better.

There is an French vs Jap op right now, and 90% of players chose france while the cool kids such as myself chose Grorious Nippon.

I mean I may not like the 105mm but sometime it's necessary, like in tier 7, and 4 has that option while 3/4 not. I don't know.

The 3/4 has better mobility and "armor", but as you said, the 105 is often a more reliable damage dealer when bottom tier.
It's really up to you if you want to delete low tiers in one shot and annoy high tiers or plink away at tanks while flanking.

while we're asking questions, what's the reload time on those things and is there any reason why someone playing it would choose to ram me repeatedly in my Centurion 1 instead of firing his nippo cannon and blowing me up (he died because i just shot him over and over)

The 15cm gun has a 22 second base reload, depending on his equipment and perks and if his ammo rack is damaged or not he might not have had the reload to kill you before you dpm him down.
Or he could have just been bad.

I quit after the patch that added 3-5-7, somehow made arty even more obnoxious, and fucked over so many light tanks with their 'rework'. I keep tabs on the game to see if they'll ever come to their senses, but I'm close to just moving on entirely.

Yeah, the matchmaking + the tier 10 lights (They took over 400,000 exp off my tier 8 lights and put them at tier 9) are why I quit for a year.

the issue is that arty has pinpoint accuracy now, so if you're purple and you dare to leave your bush or building you're guaranteed to get clicked even while moving. likewise with the increased rof if you're in an ht you can sometimes spend 100% of your time stunned. i unironically prefer getting randomly deleted.

Playing the GW Tiger P, I can deny that they have good accuracy, I can't hit a FUCKING THING with that, and it does no damage when it does hit.

On the other hand, in my long reload tanks I get SO MAD at stun. I get splashed for 20 damage? Stunned for 25 seconds and doubles my reload time. 38 seconds woo!

i don't play arty but my understanding is the german and russian arties are completely obsolete now.

I installed one of those mods that lets you track what kind of ammo each person uses against you.

Tier 8-10 matches are insufferable, no matter which tier I'm in, I get hit by gold rounds about 80% of the time, the exceptions is like tier 6-7 tanks don't use them much. This includes when I'm light tanks, arty, whatever the fuck I'm playing I get hit with gold CONSTANTLY.

It's not in the game, though. There's no setting to track the types of ammo that enemies use on you, as far as I can see anywhere. unless you're on console.

It's just splash + stun. The splash radii were entirely over-buffed, at this point you take more damage (including module and crew damage) on a complete miss. This is more of a factor with American and British artas, however.
