I believe that the traveling merchant has glitched and is now a permanent resident. It's been like 4 days in-game (going on 5) and he's still hanging around. His shop changes per day like normal, even upon exiting and rejoining the world. I think he bugged out when I had like 2-3 bloodmoons in a row and was fighting multiple bosses back-to-back. Not sure what will happen when I demolish the c-blocks and build normal housing. Has this happened to anyone else?
Also, why can't capes be equipped in the social armor slots? Is there a mod for this?
I may borrow ideas from a few builds. I've been procrastinating on starting hardmode due to not having proper housing for NPCs and I don't want to progress further until I have some decent buildings laid down. The problem is that I don't know where to start. I saw a very cool house/smithy posted in the last thread and may dupe that and go from there.

Would you recommend against playing with multiple large content mods at the same time? (spirit and thorium)
I've hardly ever touched mods outside of a rocky experience with tremor and calamity.

Spirit and Thorium work fine together.
Tremor, Calamity, or anything related to Tremor; Never fucking touch them in any combination.

Is there a mod that makes the candlelights have the same color as the torches?

All candles have a distinct yellow color (more obvious in motion) and i don't like it, but regular torches don't look as good as decoration
