What would have happened if Napoleon was alive and in charge of France during WWII?
Would Hitler have respected Napoleon? Would Napoleon have respected Hitler? Would Hitler have even tried to invade France or would their be some sort of Non-aggression or even an alliance? How could if WWII turned out?

Bump for attention

Europe isn't big enough for the both of them and Hitler's economy was entirely based on expansion and militarism.

They would've fought and Napoleon probably would've orgasmed over self-propelled artillery

r u retarded?

He would have ordered French infantry columns (and Polish cavalry) to launch a bayonet charge on German panzers

This is the most retarded thread of the week so far. congrats OP, you are one stupid faggot!

Luv u 2 bb

No, like seriously, there is so many IQ 85 mouthbreathers that start retarded threads here all the time, but yours still takes the cake, it has this special kind of stupid that gives it the edge.

Hitler hated Freemasons. They would likely get into conflict. Napoleon would probably win due to being backed by The Rothschilds.

It would depend on whether Napoleon would have the foresight to develop a better contingency plan that the Maginot line. Maybe France could have striked first instead of waiting for the Germans to come to them.

It would all depend on how much foresight Napoleon would have.

>comparing early 19th century to early 20th century warfare
Napoleon would get rekt easily, isn't even a debate.

Buttmad Anglos wouldn't support him against the Germans. Thats for sure.

Well, Napoleon's favorite way to fight defensive wars was offensive
He conquered half Europe in self-defense by invading his enemies before they could invade France

Also depends on how long Napoléon would have been leader. If he had been for a decent enough times, France wouldn't have been sabotaged by communists before the war even started. It would've held its own like in world war one instead of crumbling.

Can you IMAGINE how troubling this scenario would be for lindy?

Hitler would've never even had to rise to power because France would've destroyed and annexed Germany in WW1. There wouldn't have been another war needed.

In fact, Nappy would've probably won the Franco Prussian War.

Yes, it would also depend on the French government in general. They were a Republic at that time and Napoleon was a military general. There is only so much he would be able to do withstanding a full re-installment (first installment?) of a French Empire.

Had the allies striked Hitler as soon as he remilitarized the Rheinland WW2 could have unfolded quite differently. Had France suffered less in WW1 things could have unfolded differently.

Assuming he was the same person, I don't see a reason why he wouldn't turn the country into the same thing he turned France in 1804.
Absolute trust between him and the french means he could have likely done anything, as long as it was successful. Especially considering the shitfests the successive french governments have been from his death to the end of world war two.

It's a pretty good thread idea, actually

>napoleon invades germany when their soldiers enter the rhineland
>freedom loving slavs join in
>germany defeated in 1936
>no more ww2
>napoleon has another go at russia
>wins this time

>freedom loving slavs
>under Stalin
>implying USSR wouldn't be more concerned with annexing Poland
>implying French government wouldn't tell Napoleon to shut up and sit in the corner while the big boys talk

but its fucking not? You don't just change 1 thing in history and ask a question on it assuming everything else stayed the same. OP is assuming Poops lived and was in charge of France up until ww2, which is retarded since it changes so much shit like Napoleon 3rd never coming into power, Napoleon alive during ww1 which potentially changes Frances entire plan for ww1. History is completely interconnected and just changing one thing has the potential to completely change history, even more so if talking about great men.

If Napoleon was alive, he would instantly become the accepted leader of France. Nobody could even contest it. He could just walk into the parliament and proclaim himself emperor again.

I meant Poland, Czechoslovakia and Yugoslavia (kingdom)

That's assuming he would time travel to that period in time and not born into it at the right age with no reputation.

Assuming that this is a Napoleon that grew up in the early 20th century and experienced the Great War, he'd undoubtedly embrace tanks, self-propelled artillery, and other motorized vehicles. Remember, Napoleon started off as a gunner and he embraced firepower wholeheartedly. He loved battering enemy formations with concentrated barrages; look at what tanks and other vehicles could do? It would be his wet dream come to life by having fast-moving guns with protection.

Assuming that Napoleon was a high-ranking official in the 1920's and 1930's, he would've vetoed the Maginot Line in favor of a strong air force and mechanized army. And he would've DEFINITELY pressed for war in defense of Czechoslovakia. The seizure of the Skoda Works gave the Germans all the arms and equipment they needed to defeat France and Poland.

Hitler is too retarded to take a guy like Napoleon seriously, but his generals would. Napoleon would be thoroughly repulsed by someone like Hitler. And he'd treat Stalin with the same disdain. Even at his worst (like the reconquest of Haiti or the Peninsular War), Napoleon didn't believe in eugenics-themed ethnic cleansing or the kind of gulags/purges that the Soviets did. Napoleon would not single out European Jews for oppression or anyone else for that matter.

And unlike the Bohemian Corporal, Le Petit Corporal would be leading his men to smash the Germans at every step. The French army wouldn't even doubt their ability to win against the Germans with Napoleon knowing how to fight WW2.

Could have happened, easily.

>Follow a fat guy with an Italian accent.
Dead in the water.

>was actually followed by millions
he was only fat at the end, too.

>Self propelled artillery
>Moves faster than cavalry
>On all terrain
>Near invincible armor
>Napoleon creams himself
>France never invests in the maginot line and develops a much better tank doctrine
>Germany cant blitz them
