>Mateus/Cactuar/Gilgamesh I've seen Balmung and Mateus mentioned the most, what's the major feature of each server?
Michael Wilson
yes
Brayden Mitchell
Why shouldn't i make easy money on the side when the developers don't do anything about it? Lol
Gavin Young
the major feature of mateus and balmung is ERP
Justin Anderson
are the servers getting DDOSed? my game is laggy
Blake Powell
I still dislike Yotsuyu, I'd have liked her more if she didn't have a Garlean doing all the work for her, really. My biggest problem with her has been how she had everyone else do stuff for her, and she just took credit until she remembered that she could actually use a gun
they have the highest amount of neets self-inserting into dickgirls that get into e-relationships with other men similar to themselves
Hudson Ramirez
Real talk, you can make even easier money just trading crypto for five minutes than wasting time on a japanese anime game.
Brody Bailey
The first thing you'll notice about Balmung is that you can't get in.
Adrian Martin
Balmung is a legacy server, so all 1.0 characters were there or something. It's highly active and you can't make a character there ATM- it's too full. Mateus is Balmung Lite. It's active. They're the "erp/rp" servers. Gilgamesh was/is a "hardcore" raid server but it doesn't matter nowadays with cross-realm raiding. Cactuar is a pretty normal server, it's just one of the biggest on Aether, I think it goes Balmung->Cactuar->Mateus/Gilgamesh
Ian Bailey
What about the other two, Cactuar and Gilgamesh?
Noah Garcia
is smn hard to play? how about blm?
Benjamin Cook
Which other c@ has nice feet like you?
Jose Collins
YAMERO GANBATTE?
UMU EUREKA user?
Eli Clark
blm is harder than smn
Ian Ward
a server being legacy doesn't mean anything anymore.
> Crypto-currency. I looked into a findom outlet for this and apparently it's a thing but crypto as a whole just seems dumb.
William Harris
>cross-realm raiding. So I don't need to pick a specific server for raiding? Fun I don't ERP or RP, but I always get a giggle out of seeing it as I walk around, how much of that is there on the RP servers?
Noah Clark
>want to post self and get rated >to shy
Michael Baker
Lots of ERP and also lots of valid RP too I think. I've never played on Balmung but Mateus has lots of E/RP too. And no, any server works. So long as you're on aether datacenter, you can play with anyone on aether. So long as you're on chaos, anyone on chaos. So on and so on.
dont worry if you actually are ugly you'll at least get a ton of free yous from ebins trying to get more attentions
Andrew Moore
gender is social construct. stop shaming others for their preferences.
Christopher Rivera
Alright, I'll make a character on Mateus and see if it's too weird for me, and I might run away to Cactuar if it is. I usually play Ranged or Support in MMOs, any suggestions on what classes are good for someone new to XIV, but not to MMOs specifically?
Asher Edwards
I hate you.
Isaac Allen
I personally thought those scenes with her and Gyrnewaht were funny. But the thing with Yotsuyu is she is supposed to be a cliche of "tyrant who does horrible things but is hopeless by herself". Now she's a "hopeless person who is dependent on others". It's a nice character transition to be honest, even if it's been done before.
Archer is the only ranged class that can actually move about while "casting" your attacks
Arcanist and Conjurer are supports for healing and whatnot, but also ranged attacks I guess
Nicholas Green
I dunno, I just don't have much respect for her simply because she didn't do anything for herself. As a result she came across really boring to me. Even that cutscene where she has a guy shoot his friend, then tries to get him to shoot his own parents. That just made the dude who mattered for like 15 seconds more interesting to me than Yotsuyu was
Bard is a ranged DPS "support". There's no real support/buffer role but BRDs are pretty much always wanted thanks to their ability to buff the team's damage/crit/restore mana.
RDM (you have to be level 50 to unlock red mage) is also more of a support DPS. Both RDM and BRD have lower personal damage but they bring team-wide buffs. RDM has a physical damage buff and the ability to machine-gun out resurrections over and over and over. It's also VERY easy to learn.
The healers are pretty good too. Half the time as a healer you're dpsing, a good healer is invaluable if the rest of the team is meh.
One thing you should keep in mind is that early game leveling is ass. They gutted a lot of early level skills and moved them to end game so don't be disheartened if it feels bad.
there is no support role in this game. there is only tank, healer and damage dealer. some of them have more support than others in their role but they're all still one of those three things.
Aaron Nguyen
cute maine coon
Eli Evans
>cactuar more active than mateus Nah dude switch it the other way around
Fug, I mean Support as in Healer, but Bard sounds pretty fun, how are the Healers Also I heard Dragoon is a meme, but I've always loved the theme of the class, is it as bad as I've heard?
I meant to ask how are the healer classes different from each other, not sure how i did that. I also don't own the expansions, but I heard I don't need to buy both of them anymore
Aiden Scott
DRG's really good. The meme is that the shit ones die a lot because they can't time the one thing they have to pay attention to but overall, it's easy and effective.
