If you were to ask me "who my favourite units to use in FE8 are" then I'd include Lute among them, but for heroes... yeah I forget she exists. She's not really exceptional, isn't free like Alvis, and there's no reason to ever talk about her.

People shittalk the tier list but follow it religiously. This is just a fact of gatcha games and the people who play them.

Also, in all fairness, while Jakob was pretty great, it's easy to get distracted when the two mages they put on that banner had a lot to offer. H!Sakura was instantly flagged as mediocre by the majority of people who knew what they were talking about, but most people wanted her as an actual unit.

Jakob also was released before we knew Bold Fighter was a thing. That really revolutionized him from an annoying but not particularly threatening bulky threat to the stuff of nightmares.

They were Nowi (already had one built and a few others at 4* so eventually I'll start merging I guess), Hinoka (gonna be really nice whenever I get H Nowi to round out a flier team), and Hawkeye (fuck this piece of shit I've pulled him at 5* three times, foddered them all off for either DB or Killer Axe at least)

I was quiet about him since I didn't care about Sakura but thought that him being the first colorless armor was really neat because I'm a fan of units that are unique in the niche they fill. I'm glad that he's only gotten better as time goes on.

I pulled a +spd -def Kagero a little while ago that I considered seeing what I could do with just because, but I dunno if there really is much I can do with her. But then my best dagger user is +spd -res Soup Prince.

Anyone else wish there was more reposition fodder? Like yeah, we have Selena and Barst but reposition is such a core skill you want it on almost every single unit you use. I'd love to see it come standard on a 4-5* (since we don't get 3-4 anymore) blue unit and a colorless.
