Blast furnace is a way that you can level smithing and make money at the same time if you do it correctly. Bonds (14 days membership) go for about 3m each right now, blast furnace makes you about 800k-1m/hr if you are doing it somewhat efficiently, so it is the fastest way to earn your own membership on a low-level account that I know of. The reason I say you should buy a month+ of membership at the start is to give you some wiggle room to do quests and enjoy a bit of the members experience before you need to grind for your own bonds. Still, grinding BF isn't that bad if you just throw some tunes on and get to work, plus it is free xp in one of the more expensive skills to level "correctly"

>100k entry the fuck did you hear this from theres 1, 2 if below 60 smithing, cost(s) to blast furnace one is putting money in the coffer on blast furnace only worlds to have some suspiciously tall dwarves automatically fix and operate the machine the second is only if below 60 smithing which is putting cash in a different coffer to allow access. when you get the level requirement you are no longer required to pay this blast furnace makes an unbelievable fuckload of cash because all coal for smithing is halved. so a steel bar needs only 1 coal rather than 2 this can slightly cut the cost of some bars, making them a profit or in the case of shit like adamant and rune can turn them into 1-2m/hr activites its also extremely optimal with bank fillers, stam potions and ice gloves

Everything up to level 60 costs 1k/minute to use it PLUS the standard use fee, but 60 is less than an hour of work with the massive XP you get from doing it. After that, it costs 72k/hr to use, but you can make a hell of a lot more than that since it only uses half the normal amount of coal to make an item.
maybe if you need starting cash, but it is much more efficient to just buy the ores/coal and smith them then resell than it is to actually mine it yourself

As a general rule of thumb, never smith any bars outside of the blast furnace. It smelts an entire inventory at once and is magnitudes faster than doing it by hand.
An inventory of steel is ~1k xp and takes about 15 seconds start to finish.

Twice as efficient. It is essentially required.
If you are doing steel (one of the more profitable bars because steel is always in high demand) then you can do 27 steel in one trip instead of 28 in two.
Make sure you get ice gloves and buy some stamina potions (they pay for themselves)

yes, you can do 27 steel every trip instead of running back and forth like an idiot just follow this simple brainlet guide for steel you need 3 things for optimal GO FAST weight-reducing clothes, full graceful is nice but you cant use the set effect because you need ice gloves let you pick up the molten bars lastly FUCKING STAMINA POTIONS dont you fucking bitch about the cost because you will literally pay off the operation cost, potions and your bond in like 3 hours
