So I just got Murky on a chest and I decided to try him on QM to see what happens, it turns out that I don't have enough skill to properly play with that fishy hero.

So those of you who have also played Fenix on the PTR today, how do you like him?
I think the 30% damage for stutterstepping is going to be tuned down. It's absolutely ridiculous how strong it it, it almost hardly ever make using the photon cannon worth the time, but of course I've only had the time to play against AI. Also I feel like Purification Salvo is far too easy to punish, although it has unlimited range after scan, so you can always Mediev portal into warp for silly shit but I prefer the "fuck off" fire in Malasia beam. I dig how tanky he is with shields but I think they'll probably tune that down too and, as neat as his level 20 trait is, it's very selectively useful in my opinion. Then again, I'm a Bronze shitter.
All in all, he's pretty damn fun. Looking forward to release for sure.
Also, not particularly related, but why are there no teal skins for any of the SC units? There's plenty of Red and Blue ones for Warcraft but no hero colors for Starcraft ones. What gives?

I don't bother with Ranked in HotS because I took games like League of Legends too seriously. Took a break from taking anything seriously so default myself as Bronze since it's the lowest of the low.
Also, queue times for player games were obscenely long for any games including other players. Unless you queue'd as a 3-man or more, you wouldn't get a game playing Fenix - there were some people who had waited several hours just to get in a game. Fuck that shit. I'll learn his mechanics in the PTR and have fun with him against people in Live.

He is an Assassin that can kinda' do sustained damage and is kinda' tanky but isn't the highest for either. I noticed I'd have a really bad day if someone caught me after a warp or if they had better sustain against me like Gul'dan, but that was a very back and forth sort of lane. Trying to get close to Hammer also proved kind of frustrating.

Divert power: weapons needs to be removed, it is *way* too good. Purification salvo is going to be the go to ult. Disco laser (especially with its flat damage upgrade) is absurd. Warp might need to be slowed down a bit.
I expect to see many, many cycles of nerfs to fenix. The splash on his AA also makes him extremely good at just clearing waves against opponents.

Genji will be strong against him. He has a massive hitbox so x-strike -> shingan shuriken hits will hurt.
Varian w/ collosus smash or taunt and shattering throw will be good too.

Also, funny note, but warping outside of Maiev's ultimate and then walking anywhere remotely close to it will pull you back into it and knock you into the center without consuming a charge of the wall.

Nydus requires creep, the worm can't be hidden, and both have long-ish charge times. The thing that kills me though is that it requires *so much setup* before it comes online, and anyone rotating between lanes who sees your worms, or your creep, can just kill it and you're stuck waiting another another minute or two for another Nydus charge, and you then need to drop another worm there. I typically spend so much time babysitting my Nydus network, retreating 5 seconds after starting to lane to avoid a gank, and trying to rotate between lanes that I never actually get any pushing done.
Honestly, being ganked is the most frustrating part of playing Zag so far. If anyone even gets a whiff of me, their whole deathball will rotate to gank me, and there's nothing I can do to avoid it other than... not lane. Her abilities also feel really underwhelming during teamfights and all it takes is one person coming from behind to end me.
How do you make it work?? Is it even worth it?

He whispers me a few days ago, asks me if it's a good idea to make a smurf. I ask what he hopes to get out of it. "A better rank". Doesn't like it when I tell him that rank itself is pretty pointless and if he wants a better rank he'd do better focusing on just trying to improve at the game.
The issue for people stuck in "tarpit elo" is that they don't even know where to start correcting their mistakes, because they're not sure what their mistakes even *are*. They know *nothing* about the game. Sure plats may shit the bed in draft spectacularly on occasion, but generally they can identify what went wrong where.
