Death Mark is like those very old type of point and click game, where you move around to explore and get items to advance.
Theme wise it's about ghastly things so you'll encounter ghosts and undeads, those kind of things.
They used grid-base movement and made each area a part of the grid. The main highlight (sort of) comes from having boss fights and having some puzzle solving elements towards winning that fight.
It's pretty low budget, but also priced quite cheaply. The game is properly made and kinda refreshing, so some people liked it. A notable bunch of fujoshis particularly liked like due to the male characters.

What exactly did the Devola and Popola from Nier's village do to get their fellow models hated by all the other androids? Near as I can tell, they didn't escort Replicant Nier to the Shadowlord's castle or give him the key to it. Heck, they tried to stop him before he could kill the Shadowlord, but he ended up too strong. It is. So far the "too easy" criticisms are valid, and that's coming from someone who can't play many difficult games. But it's still fun, a relaxing and polished action RPG experience. No grinding necessary, it seems. My main complaints have to do with the lack of voiced dialogue (some of it's voiced, a lot isn't), and cutscenes. The music isn't too special either.
I wonder if they can't afford to make it too difficult due to the range of audience they're targeting.
Shame about the voice, though I can understand. Reminds me of how DQ XI does not have any voice at all despite obviously having a big budget.

It does have a T for Teen (or whatever the equivalent is in other countries) rating. Didn't play the first game, but even without Ghibli cutscenes to draw normies in, I think this could still be a good time for JRPG newcomers. As for Dragon Quest, I wouldn't mind that if cutscenes were nonexistent. Jarring to passively watch big budget production values, nice animation, but no words actually leaving the characters' mouths.
I use Webm for Retards, with the bitrate at around 1000 for clips longer than 15-20 seconds. Shorter clips can have 2-4k bitrate--I experiment, never leave clips at full resolution either way. A capture card or even PS4 Pro would allow for better webms. I'm stuck with my launch PS4 and a toaster laptop.
