Why not both? I enjoy and play both equally. What do you want in a game? Do you prefer being on the ground and view being in the air as a serious commitment? Get Unist. Do you not mind airdashes? Get GGXRD. Do you really like knockdowns? Definitely Get Xrd.

You know a lot of characters can just backdash after that if she does it midscreen.

Anyone who's been exposed to more technical, more dynamic fighting games will quickly pass on tekken. Other top fighters, namely Street Fighter, Dragonball and NRS games have advanced impressively in their latest installments; but the relic that is tekken just can't seem to evolve, furthermore many combos can be done simply by hitting 1-button, and the nearly "instant-kill" rage art moves are just laughably broken. Instead of a supplying a proper fighting engine, matches in T7 seem to rely heavily on "who can get their rage move off first". So many elements of the gameplay don't even require any sort of skill. In my book, slow motion over and over again also gets old very quickly. And in the end, it's more of a novelty or gimmick rather than an actual, thought-out fighting game mechanic. But hey, the casual crowd will be pleased!
If you want something a little more "button-masher-friendly," tekken might be your cup of tea.... Key word, might.

+2 means her advantage frames, so it's specifically referencing when the opponent can act (in 2f they are neutral). She can only do something 5f or less after peach/brimstone, vs 3f wakeup, anything more than that is either fake or character specific (cr.MK on urien).

i can see why someone would hold that opinion though. some characters have two really good triggers, some only one, and others have jack shit like vega and zeku. all of the top tiers for example have two very good triggers on top of a bunch of other strong tools.

New player here. Played ranked for around an hour and fifteen and made it to the super bronze rank, but I'm starting to struggle now. I feel like I should take a break form ranked and practice my combinations more and stuff. It's so hard sometimes trying to guess what your opponent will do.

I want to play BlazBlue, but I dislike memorizing very long combos due to my poor execution. Who do I use? I've heard Es, Mai, and Hakumen, but I'm not sure if there is a better option.

I am super bronze but it took like 12 hours of ranked to get there + like 50 hours of practice beforehand
Good job, user. Get your combo's down. Maybe find a combo which starts with your fastest normal. Don't know if you're new to all fighters, but look up what meaty set-ups are and learn a few with your character. Other than that, critically think and don't autopilot. Try to anti-air to the best of your ability since most people will be jumping at low ranks and don't forget to learn how you can start your offence after landing an anti-air. Most people just anti-air and then give up their turn and let the opponent just jump, dash, special move in again.
Every character boils down to long combos once you get past a scrub level. There is no exception.
Yes, get your combos burned into your muscle memory. Learn a crush counter combo if you haven't already. Learn to anti-air on reaction and punish sweeps with sweeps every time.
