I get that competitive is about winning first but isn't there a certain point where you say "fuck that I won't waste my time with this?". How are people not burnt out from this combo heavy meta?

Locking your opponent out of drawing can more or less make it impossible for them to change the game state. Sole decks don't rely on that too much (Like Lightsworns), but lots of decks need to draw to have any ability to alter the game state

you'd have to hit the entire archetype because theres still so many cards that make it viable. how many times has skullcrobat been in and out of the list? they killed double iris and people just said "ah who the fuck needed the pendulumgraphs anyways? brb, MAKINGTHESECONDCOMINGOFTYRANTNEPTUNE" when one component is lost, the others will just pick up the slack. magicians have the ecletic playstyle of odd-eyes without odd-eye's very obvious Achilles heel being their higher level maindecks. magicians are a hydra simply because of their almost never ending support

that being said, the supreme king gate engine gave me an epiphany for odd-eyes that makes odd-eyes wing semi viable: >summon two gates, preferably zero, >pop a scale with one to summon wing. >pop that wing with the other to summon starve venom and put wing in the scale. >use either odd-eyes fusion or dissolver to summon odd-eyes venom. you now have a board that will make a 3300 beater gain double an opponent's beater's atk. and if by some miracle you get an odd-eyes venom in the other scale, at minimum you will have a 4300 beater x2 your opponent's monster. maximum, you are looking at a 9300 beater with x2 enemy boost. is it a practical win condition? no. is it stylish as all hell? damn straight. and besides, odd-eyes can go into several win conditions. their biggest weakness is their dependence on scales and high level monsters.
there must be some beatdown deck using these cards.

YGOpro is not perfect. It has a tendency to give you cards that are near each other in your decklist, which can result in opening multiples or playsets. You can circumvent this in a way by shuffling your list before saving, but the issue does persist.
I don't know of any reason you'd open Garnet consistently though. Just bad luck probably. Maybe he's your duel spirit.

Is this an example of perfectly good petdeck support? Suddenly Meluseek and Sylqitas are good now because of this It even made the deck reward you for having a trap heavy playstyle while having an alright restriction of limiting you to the archetype That's a lot better when compared to other restrcitions that make the card unusable Why can't they always make support this good, instead of always making disappointing garbage?
