Aiming to get as many golden eggs as you can promotes greed and makes you a terrible team player. The reason why people regard zero as a one of the greats of salmon run is because he's good at getting eggs fast, he helps people dunk their own eggs in time, rescues you from pesky small fry and seems to be on constant alert to every single thing on the screen and whatever is next to and behind him at all times - learn from example, not from self gratification

you're gonna have to beat that power egg count too or at least come close to it. clearly shows he was doing a fine job getting eggs and recking the shit out of salmonids while doing it too. most high golden egg scorers get really low power egg counts, that's why was considered to be so good cos it's rare he has only one stat that's high

Yes, I understand all of that. He and I are very similar in playstyle. I don't play greedy, but it's nice to raise the bar a tiny bit every time, just like in speedrunning. I consider revives and no deaths as important as egg collecting. Supporting the team comes first.
