Why do Conservatives despise Continental Philosophy so much just like it was totally integrated with Marxism?

Why do conservatives ____

I see the problem with your mentality. Political thought is abhorrent, stop thinking in those terms.

from what i've seen its mostly lolbertarians and other liberal conservatives who worship analytical philosophy. most anti-liberal conservatives are usually conty, like the Nouvelle Droite and their boner for Gramsci.

they don't.... they only hate Post Modernism and Critical Theory. In fact I bet most conservatives read more Continental philosophers than analytic philosophers.

See also how every Zizek group complains about "Crypto-Fascists get out" because Zizek attracts "Crypto-Fascists."

Why are Americans all fat?

This. Well-read conservatives know that they can adapt the likes of Foucault to their own purposes.

The ones who hate continental philosophy and post-modernism are usually Anglosphere liberals like Richard Wolin and Alan Sokal, because they fear one day the majority of conservatives will realize what they've been missing.

because it rarely says anything valuable, rarely backs up its assertions about the state of the universe (oh which human behaviour is a part) with evidence and is incapable of precise thought or logic, instead resorting to fuzzy thinking expressed through verbose, musing essays.

conservatives hate critical thought and those who challenge them

>conservative thought can not be critical
You are retarded

(((critical thought)))

>le funny jew parenthesis

Hehe u got em!

this.

>hehe conserveTARDS cannot into thinking

Hehe you got em

Not an argument.

Are conservatives now the most proficient at post modern thought now that trump won off frog posters?

Which ones do they read?

Kant, Fichte, Schelling, Hegel, the list goes on...

Continental philosophy isn't a valid term before the end of the war, senpai.

What war

Wwii.

Analitc and continental philosophy weren't that different before that.

>leftist activists use culture jamming and the criticism of grand metanarratives to question social conformity and advance revolutionary communist goals
>praised by intellectuals and the media as a progressive act

>right-wing activists use culture jamming and criticism of grand metanarratives to achieve Brexit and elect Donald Trump
>intellectuals and the media, who a few years ago where questioning positivism and the nature reality, fall back into a full-Comtean worldview and cry about "fake news" and "post-truth"

That's why Conservatives despise Continental philosophy. They realize, deep down, that the whole thing is a farce designed to advance the interests of the revolutionary left. That it has no intellectual rigour, and that if their tactics are used by their enemies, they will then abandon and question the tactics they themselves devised because in the end, it's just that, tactics for political warfare, not deep-seated, sincere intellectual ideas.

Remember the context. Foucault, Baudrillard, Delleuze, were writing in a time when the establishment was "liberal conservative", so it made sense for them to question the establishment with cultural relativist ideas about the nature of progress. Now that the cultural and political establishment is progressive leftist, they don't want questioning anymore.

Heidegger, Jung, Guénon's Traditionalist School

The Vienna Circle stopped meeting regularly in 1936 and Wittgenstein died in 1951

Irrelevant, we must return to complete the system of German idealism.

bc continental philosophy is only "uncovering of one or another piece of plain nonsense"

Not that guy but he's right.

Continental Philosophy and Analitical became so different after the War.
Hell, Husserl is the most importante philosopher f the last century, he's German and would probably see modern continental philosophy as a fucking joke.

Isn't Husserl a huge influence in Sartre, Heidegger and Derrida?

Yeah, he was conservative as fuck, but I not sure he would hate Continental Philosophy so much.

Just like Hegel was the single major influence in Marx works, but he would think Marx was borderline retarded.

>Marxism
>critical
kek

>right-wing activists use culture jamming and criticism of grand metanarratives to achieve Brexit and elect Donald Trump

But this didn't happen. Both of them just used basic populist rhetoric that's roughly as old as elections.

If it has no intellectual rigour why did it work for conservativs

Modern continental philosophy largely seems to deny objectivity and grand social narratives, two things that the right is real big on. Though it's worth noting that continental philosophy often pisses off the left too with that latter point. I'm not sure why people overlook the fact that post-structuralists were plenty critical of the left too.
