Do you vote?

Do you vote?

Do you support any mainstream political philosophy over another?

Do you fight for your "moral compass?"

If your answer to any of these is yes, you may be the tool of a spook. But there is help! Simply follow the teachings of Stirner, and you can be unspooked in no time!

Stirner and his spook theory are a spook

Cancer

>implying that Stirner isn't a spook

Hardly. They're the opposite.

>Spook

Does this just mean that anything which is man-made is inherently inferior or invalid? I don't see how it's an argument. Can you explain the reasoning to me?

>reasoning
You are aware that this is a spook, yes?

This thread is gay.
Let's turn this into a historical flag thread. Post your favorite

It's any sort of mental construct you attempt to place ahead of yourself, use as some sort of justifier for your own actions.

For instance, use morals. You might refuse to do something because it is immoral; you're trying to give morality a sort of false life and act as though it is an entity that is controlling you, when in fact you're not doing this thing you consider immoral because you don't wish to do it.

Stirnerian egoism is actually very similar to existentialism in this regard, in that it's not so much about advancing your own station as maintaining a sense of personal authenticity.

Now to be clear on this, refusing to do something because you consider it immoral is perfectly fine in his reason. What he asks is not that you give up morality, as it's a perfectly useful idea, only that you acknowledge that you're doing these things because you want to, and the idea of morality is itself nothing more than an idea and a tool to be used.

Disrespecting one's master is a spook.

Spooks are life's only consolation. Following the ego alone will ironically destroy your will to live.
