Why do people act like the Baltic states don't rightfully belong to Germany when all major cities on the Baltic coast were built by German traders?

Trading cities have usually been rather cosmopolitan and hardly been subject to a single culture. Also, if you asked the cities themselves they usually preferred independence.

>Riga - Nordic-Byzantine trade post
>Tallin - originally Kolyvan, a Slavic settlement
Rightful Russian clay, faм.

>Tallinn
>Slavic settlement

Russian education.

Well, the first mention of "Tallin" is here:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tabula_Rogeriana
Its called "Quoluwany" (Kolyvan), it's common Russian toponym.

I'm sure Russia traders might have visited it, but do you have some logical reason to assume settlement?

People need identity, that's why. People with Roman heritage have no problems, because there is no Rome anymore. Now imagine being highly dependent of your German neighbour in the past, with legitimate claims to your fatherland being around all the time. Feels bad, man. However Germans and Balts have co-existed and interbred for centuries, they're basically brothers.

if they were built by germans, where all the baltic germans, checkmate xd

Because Germany declared war on the entire world and lost.

You know most Germans can move there and trade freely so it is not as though they are being oppressed on the individual level. It is just that the German state, that belligerent hostile entity through history, is now limited to the German homelands. They're lucky it wasn't divided into quaint princely states like Churchill wanted.

G*rmans wanted to exterminate us. Brothers indeed.

>Because Germany declared war on the entire world and lost

Other way around.

Proof? It's not like they hadn't enough time.

>rightfully

>Tfw Dutch Baroque buildings are incredibly common amongst Baltic trade hubs due to the influence of Dutch merchants.

Howdy Baltic man, check it out, I sell salt and wine for your wood and grain.

>However Germans and Balts have co-existed and interbred for centuries, they're basically brothers.

It is amazing indeed, salt and wine are very valuable commodities.

>Teleports Behind You
>Implements 1% tax for trade in the Baltic

Pshh, nothin personal kidd.

prussians

Riga was founded by Bishop Albert of the German mission to Livonia tho

>German Traders

Bitch where? Might have been german traders but traders don't build they trade. It was architecture of the Italian states. Specific styles do arise that give the significance of "German style" but no don't forget Germany was almost literally a thousand city states all trying to one up the other.

>Explain or give examples of German Traders building.

It's more 'it was all built by the Teutonic order and the German mission to Livonia and Estonia.'

try and take them back

you'll get skull fucked again

Why do people act like Berlin belongs to Germany, when it was built by slavs?

Traders had families, wealth attracted craftsmen and so on. We know very well who was living and building those cities because the church kept record of all births and deaths.

But it wasn't built by Slavs. It was a Slavish village. Later it was merged with a German city, Neu-Cölln. Slavs are an integral part of the German people. By that logic, Germans could as well claim all Slavic territories.

I don't act. I thank the eternal kraut for forcing the Latvian tribes to finally get their shit together and form a single nation.... even though they finally decided to do it after being occupied.

>It was a Slavish village.
More like a town.

There are self hating Catholic """"""Slavs"""""" like the Czechs and Croats and some Poles who claim German heritage
They are basicly the Catholic version of Bosniaks who get angry if you call them Slavs and claim to be turks
Theres also some hohols who do that

>Catholic
>Slavs (even in ultra commas)

Only 1/3 of those states is Catholic.
It's like you're not even trying

kek

No, as your picture shows larger Slavic settlements only existed on the outskirts of present-day Berlin (Spandau, Köpenick)

>By that logic, Germans could as well claim all Slavic territories.
Which fucking one? Moscow was built by Germans? Even fucking Gdańsk/Danzig was build by Poles. History didn't start after partitions of Poland.

Satanic trips confirm

Those all are large settlements (capitals or towns). There are no villages shown.

Because no matter how many thieves say that development of the land is ownership, it isn't.
Ownership of land is ownership.
