What if Stalin was the person sent back in time to stop Hitler?

What if Stalin was the person sent back in time to stop Hitler?

He did an exceptionally poor job of it and propped him up for 2 years.

He would do everything exactly the same, resulting in him defeating Hitler and becoming the most powerful singular man in the world that wasn't limited to 4 year stints

Woah

...

He wouldn't have purged his entire military of its competent officers.

In reality, hitler and stalin were actualy friends.
Need proof?Stalin would sometimes send jews to concentration camps. This "friendship" ended when hitler attacked Russia.

Arrived to Austria.
Robbed local bank.
Was arrested.
Was executed.

The year is 2035. Ninety years ago, the Nazis won the second of the three world wars and carried out the near-total extermination of the Jews and Slavs. Sixty years ago, they started a nuclear war against their former Japanese allies and the neutral United States, which left the Earth a devastated nuclear wasteland. The Reich "won", but it was the most pyrrhic or all pyrrhic victories, and soon it collapsed under the strain of the nuclear winter.

Now, the few survivors of Humanity live in a Mad-Max-like world, ruled by warlords and gangs. But a group of scientists, holed up in the Caucasus Mountains, have discovered the secret of time travel. They prepare to send a team back in time to assassinate Hitler and prevent the destruction of human civilization. But their secret gets out, and a warlord attacks their hideout just as the team is getting ready to leave. In the chaos, with the entire facility collapsing and the time machine about to explode, one lone unprepared teenager makes it through the portal...

...and into the late 19th century. The machine malfunctioned and he arrived too early. And he has only the most basic understanding of 20th century history and doesn't really know what to expect or what he should do. But he will make it his life's mission to prepare for the coming of the Nazis and stop them. At any cost.

His name? Iosif Djugashvili.

Sounds like pure kino

Then they picked a shitty person. Stalin was as much of a bad general as Hitler. When the attack on soviets started Stalin moved all his troops in the south, meanwhile the Wehrmacht went mainly through the northern balticum.

I havent heard them being called friends, but Stalin was a big fan of Hitler. He was impressed by the propaganda Hitler used and how Hitler rose from nothing like Stalin himself did.

The important difference is that later in the war Stalin realised he was a shit general and delegated while Hitler didnt listen to advice.

>this meme again
kys

pretty good.

alright Veeky Forums lets write the plot for it.

you first

>Iosif starts off as a starving child living in a goat farming community in the steppes

>all his life he has dreamed of a comfy life before the madness from looking the only colored book in his hovel.
on the run from STALKER larpers who have burned down his village.
>as he is running into the foothills, exhaustion overtakes him and he is preparing to meet death.
>he falls down unconscious and hopes that he wakes up in a better world.
>Scientists rescue him and take him in.
>over the next few years he becomes a scavenger and janny for them.

Someone else take it.

The post-Nazi-apocalypse scientists work under a regime that evolved from national socialism over time: socialism in one state. This ideology will inspire Stalin throughout his life.

Explains his sociopathy, actually. Think about how little you would care about the people 1000 of years before you

What if Stalin went back in time and became Hitler's dad?

It wouldn't have been that difficult. Stalin bunked with Trotsky in Janurary, 1913 at Vienna and they both went to the Cafe Central where Hitler frequented (btw - I'm AMAZED there are less alt history novels using that as a jumping off point since you have numerous individuals who changed history using the same fucking building. One bomb on the wrong day and the whole of the 20th century is different.)

>WWII as a recreation of the war between Zeus and Kronos
>and Kronos wins
Not bad
