as a german i wrote an essay about the battle of leipzig and what it meant for the building of a german nation/ how for the first time germans saw themselves as germans and not prussians, bavarians etc, was pretty interesting

It would be inetresting to read:
1. A summary of Archduke Charles' opinions of Napoleons and to rate the success of his military reforms post austerlitz and then a new opinion of Napoleon after his second defeat

2. Francis private feelings vs political leanings leading up to the decision after 1812 to wage a new war against his son-in-law Napoleon. What would have seen him come down on Napoleon's side? Could moderate Napoleonic reforms have saved the Dynasty from its collapse a mere 100 years and 2 rulers later?

3. A summary of his political contributions to the conseil d'etat which was the legislative and debating body of his consular government which ahd little power but he took its advice seriously.

4. Political and religions thoughts behind his decision to repair relations with the church

Something on how he became so incredibly popular so quickly, and how his legend Endures far more heavily than Frederick, Catherine or Josef.

for the common people i would insert interesting short stories
e.g:
moustache, the dog
the feats of bravery and defiance of the old guard (whose loyalty could never be bought like this episode after the first exile of napoleon shows: "Another royalist, Chateaubraind had noticed how the veterans had "pulled their bearskins down over their eyes and presented arms with a gesture of fury."

or even about the man himself - you have a lot to say about him and a pretty interesting topic is his late childhood when he goes to france and gets bullied for speaking with corsican accent and how he cared only about very specific subjects like geography and history - which could be an indicator of his future plans.

How would writing about British depictions of Napoleon sound? Is there a lot of secondary reading regarding the subject?
