They get Roman'D

Yes,the Moorish library of Corduba was the largest in europe and attracted scholars of all faiths

How could anyone genuinely believe that the slave girl was training the woman how to wash herself?

wut?

Moors got BTFO by Europeans then went to the Blacks and larped as if they created the most advanced civilization ever.

The Europeans initially believed their defeated enemies, hence the word Timbuktu is famous amongst Europeans.

Short answer: no
Long answer: mmisi.org/ir/41_02/fernandez-morera.pdf

that picture is not moors, judging by the architecture (blue tiles and marble floors) its either Turkish or Persian, In this case probably the usual 19th century orientalist Harem painting

this is an equivalent of mistaking Russian and French architecture, just because they're both western doesn't mean they're all the same

Moorish (Hispanic Muslims) architecture looks more like pic related

Andalusia was ok I guess, but Romans/Italians did most of the work.

>Moors are black

Mostly the Spanish

No, but they did have a tech and prestige advantage for a bit.

They're both slaves.

In Islam, we are all slaves.

The opposite

>>Ibn Khaldûn, for instance, labeled them “weak-minded,” a people who had lost their group feeling, instinct for cooperation, and ability to take power as a result of the annihilation of their Arab Dynasty. According to his words, the Spanish Muslims had been enslaved by tyranny and become used to being humiliated. Ibn Khaldûn pushed his analysis further: “The [Muslim] Spaniards are found to assimilate themselves to the [Christian] Galician nations in their dress, their emblems and most of their customs and conditions. This goes so far that they even draw pictures on the walls and have them in buildings and houses. The intelligent observer will draw from this the conclusion that it is a sign of being dominated by others.”

>a moorish noble is teaching a white slave girl how to bath

No.The Visigoths in Spain were unironically more advanced than them and they took 100 years for the Visigothic tribes to regain power(emirate of Cordoba) to start producing anything.
The moorish library in Cordoba consisted mostly from books that were kept and translated by the Visigoths. It took A Castillian king to stablish the school of translators that was forbidden by the moors

The woman sitting is the moor. The black is the slave.

DELETE THIS!

Reminder that depicting moors as black is roughly as accurate as making mughals or turks black.

>nigger civilizing anything

It is the contary m8

The Arabs didn't give us anything except razzia and piracy

WE WUZ MOORS AND SHIT

shitskins dyed their hair red cause muhamad also dyed his hair red

To be fair that book is the complete opposite of the narrative that medieval Moorish Spain was some sort of utopia. Thomas Madden gave a scathing review of the book, and points out that the author uses weasel words to back up some of his arguments. There is room for critique of the conventional rose-tinted narrative of medieval Andalus, but this book isn't cut out for it.

It's not that ridiculous, there would be some people with darker skin tones but they still wouldn't be sub-saharan dark.

>moors
why are you posting the painting of an Ottoman girl with an african slave? Moors were Berbers and converted Iberians, not blacks.
