Sometimes the best answer is the most plain one.

The faction of leaving France for anywhere else.

The "run away to America" faction. I am an able-bodied young man. If I stick around during the French Revolution, I'll probably be conscripted. Fuck that, I'll go be a farmer in the USA and marry an anglo qt,.

St. JUST

literally r9k: the post

My fuckin nigga

Was the French Revolution the JUST of history?

>lenin literally said this

Look what happened.

Royalist

And I wish Lenin had the chance my man

Not r9k, I just don't want to die. I am a real fan of Napoleon, of what he wanted to accomplish, but I know he was doomed to failure. I would have no interest in sticking around for that, to get my arm blown off or my life taken by some Russian or Prussian. I would much rather live in America.

Lenin....was a massive faggot. It broke my heart when I finally understood this. His ideas were pure madness, he would have been a slightly less brutal Russian Mao. In many ways, one of the best things to ever happen to Russia was Lenin nearly getting murdered. His successors weren't great, but at the very least they kept Russia alive.

Had Lenin stayed in power, Russia would have remained weak, and they would have been slaughtered and subjugated by the Germans.

>Russia would have remained weak, and they would have been slaughtered and subjugated by the Germans.
What, exactly, is wrong with that?

Well, for starters, I like Russian culture, and if the Nazis had their way it simply wouldn't exist anymore. Second, "Russia" (the pre-1900 definition, essentially everything from modern Belarus to Sakhalin, excluding China of course), encompasses a massive part of earth and of human history.

Lenin remaining in charge would have meant that all this disappeared forever. I suppose if you're a fascist, or simply a hardcore US nationalist (like Patton or LeMay), or even a Chinese nationalist (since you'd get to reclaim Outer Manchuria), this wouldn't bother you. But it's a very depressing thought for me.

It unironically was.

>half of your country gets murdered so the monarchy gets deposed
>literally the edgy teen revolution (FUCK MY PARENTS, FUCK GOD, FUCK AUTHORITY, FUCK THE FUCKING CALNEDAR)
>the revolution ends with yet another monarch taking the throne

>I like Russian culture, and if the Nazis had their way it simply wouldn't exist anymore
Well it doesn't exist anymore, Russian culture is fucking dead, communism killed it. Modern Russians talk up Russian culture but they're in fact deracinated, cosmopolitan urban bydlos herded into commieblocks, many of them don't even know who their grandparents were. Hearing them talk about Russian culture is like hearing Americans talk about muh German-Irish hurritage.

The only ones who preserved genuine Russian culture are the Kuban Cossacks and the White emigrees, it's been completely wiped out otherwise.

>Russian culture
>vodka and potato
But really, they did not have much of a culture. Literally serfdom for ever and a populace that was illiterate. It's not as though the works of Stravinsky, Dostoyevsky, Tolstoy, Tchaikovsky, etc. would have disappeared. The soviet culture consisted of starvation and some cool buildings, but not much more.

t. kokhol

all was worth it though because of based Nappy B.

The faction of getting the fuck out of France.

Protestant
fuck the king fuck the jacobins fuck the church fuck the convention

No. If anything Ukraine got destroyed the same way, all of the USSR did. Ukrainian identity itself is largely a communist era invention.

>soviet culture

Not sure you understand, I don't give a flying fuck about Soviet culture, that stupid politicized socialist crap. I'm talking about real Russian culture, before the Bolsheviks tried to destroy it all.

Donatien Alphonse François, Marquis de Sade (2 June 1740 – 2 December 1814) (French: [maʁki də sad]), was a French aristocrat, revolutionary politician, philosopher, and writer, famous for his libertine sexuality. His works include novels, short stories, plays, dialogues, and political tracts; in his lifetime some were published under his own name, while others appeared anonymously and de Sade denied being their author. De Sade is best known for his erotic works, which combined philosophical discourse with pornography, depicting sexual fantasies with an emphasis on violence, criminality, and blasphemy against the Catholic Church. He was a proponent of extreme freedom, unrestrained by morality, religion, or law. The words sadism and sadist are derived from his name.

>The words sadism and sadist are derived from his name.

For me it'sSade.

No, I am not sure you understand: My point was that there wasn't much of a Russian culture to begin with...
Please do prove me wrong.

Not him but you're probably the type of retard who thinks culture and high culture are synonyms. Very low IQ poster you are.

As if the lower classes of any nation possess """""""""""""culture""""""""""""""

To boot, the typical Russian could not even read, and their """"culture"""" was equivalent to that of a 14th century western european serf. sad!

Yes it does. Even shitting in a clay latrine instead of a wooden one is a cultural trait. The fact you don't know what the word means only solidifies my belief that you're a retard.

Agree to disagree.

>14th century western european serf
Modern Europeans aren't any more cultured than their serf ancestors, if anything they're even more plebeian now.

so girondin, then...

>notions of cleanliness

If something can be said about him is that he was the aesthetic leader

I'd follow him

yes homo

The Revolution was a mistake

I'd be Robespierre

I wouldn't be a part of any faction because joining factions creates for yourself enemies, and you know what means Veeky Forums? Guillotine time!
