What do you think of Gridcoin Veeky Forums? (gridcoin.us/). It's climbing but wondering if i should get in.. don't want to miss out on the early good coins again :(

Made some decent gains on it last week. Still badholding longterm i think

I might actually buy some. I heard a lot of good about it and overall seems to be solid project. Hoping to see so good gains soon.

bagholding *

It has interesting tech, good coin to buy and forget for a year, wouldn't spend too much on it, it has competition on the market.

Love this coin, have been staking it for awhile now. Gonna hold it longterm

It and Golem are both good buys - cloud processing isn't new - but the added blockchain and reward system is an added benefit.

I've got a significant investment in both. It's a pretty exciting time thinking of the future of cloud and decentrilized processing.

Do yourself a favor and get into the game.

kek

So gridcoin is like buying Golem before the giant market cap right?

I hold some and like it as an idea, but frankly don't really see it's value. The people who benefit from mining the coin are the projects requiring computing power. The coin serves no unique purpose and doesn't have the network effect or first mover advantages that bitcoin has. Every time the coin goes up I sell a bit to the greater fool.

Really I think it's a shame Satoshi didn't code Bitcoin to reward useful computing power rather than miners solving an arbitrary equation. It is ridiculous the amounts of energy used just to secure the network and process transactions. It could secure the network AND do something useful.

Exactly, a lot of people complain about missing ships but when there's a good coin spotted they doubt it and then post on biz crying later

Yep - a little different way in operating, but yah - decentralized processing.

It's rated #14 of all coins/tokens on Coin Gecko for power/value of its hashing algorithm. Marketshare will follow.

The same could be said for golem isn't it? It literally does nothing right now, I don't even see the hype for brass golem. And if golem can reach this price, who's to stop GRC which has the same concept as well?

both coins can be tested

mfw I thought this was what all cryptos did. So what do hashes do for other coins if this is the first one where computer power can actually be used to solve problems.

Seems to be popping a bit - I think this buy campaign is going to work - which is good, its a great coin.

it only got green flags so far.
Good and active dev, coin has a reason to exist in general

I put down 3 figures for now, I know Ill get some money out of it.

I might put down a few thousand later if it keeps being good

could be the next ARK.
x3 within days if the hype continues

The beauty of it from a technical standpoint is the distribution. By the time the greedy bagholders bust in itll be 4-5x

How nice of Berkeley to get free work based on the backs of speculators and miners. Maybe that will leave them more money leftover to brainwash more impressionable youth into Bernie style socialism and preach how white people are terrorists.

WOW GUYS!!! THIS COIN IS LEGIT AWESOME IT STHE SHIT NEXT MOON MISSION FOR SURE I JUSTBOUGHT 10000BTC WORTH, DONT WORRY ABOUT CHECKING THE ORDER BOOK CUZ I DEFEINITELY BOUGHT SOME

Which is exactly why I hold some. When the crypto bubble pops I don't see GRC being a survivor, but I'm gonna make some BTC along the way

I'm coming for you.

Nice what is their discord address? Im joining the meme train

Lol nice, im a HODLr since months, let them make me money! :))

Hi, actual research fag here, my group routinely uses supercomputing in order to analyze sequencing information, how do I incorporate this into my lab / university?

YOURE IN LUCK

>I am retarded
The only project related to UC it's SETI@home, all the other projects are from third parties, UC Bekerley only sponsored the development of the framework
