Was there ever a realistic chance of the Communist Party winning an election in the United States? How could they have done it and installed communism in the land of the free?

The cpusa are liberals

CPUSA never had more than 100,000 members at their height. Their goal wasn't to win elections, but to spread class consciousness among American workers and relieve poverty via aid and organization.

Not back in the day, they weren't.

Yes, back in the day they were 100% FBI instead.

That started after the war.

Don't mention the war!

>Was there ever a realistic chance of the Communist Party winning an election in the United States?
nope

>How could they have done it and installed communism in the land of the free?
By slowly taking over the world one domino at a time until the USA was outmatched, then launch a coup/revolution

Before World War 2, the US Communist party had a decent amount of support and popularity.

The rise of the Soviet Union killed most of it.

There are more chances of a Libertarian Party president being elected

Comminism is not real thing, it can not be implemented, therefore Communist Party of USA like Elvish Party or Troll Party.

>it can not be implemented
Why not?

A communistic economical model of society without money system can't be.

Why is that?

>communist
>election
That's where you lost me.

Yes it can

But the US is currently governed by trolls!

Not after WWI, the CPUSA had heavy FBI infiltration in order to limit the groups power and popularity in response to the violent socialist revolutions that were occurring in Russia and Germany. The members who didn't break off to join the democrats became part of what amounted to a FBI honeypot.

>communism
>land of free

thats an oxymoron

i can already see it, if he replies it'll go along the lines of the pathetic "its against human nature" argument.

that depend on what you mean by free. I may be a commie, but wordplay is my true passion

wouldn't survive on a nation level without some sort of central authority, and would thus go against it's own tenants of being free of anti-authoritarian and classless.

>Was there ever a realistic chance of the Communist Party winning an election in the United States?

Not even the slightest possibility. Labour groups have never been very successful in America compared to other countries. They never had any chance of defeating the government, liberalism, or capitalists.

go against it's own tenants of being anti-authoritarian and classless.***

The last thing to go will be no.

>Being a Commie in 2017

Jesus Christ you people never learn do you.. 150 million people dead in the Soviet Union and Maoist China doesn't put you guys off at all?

>wasn't real communism meme

But the current US economy is free market capitalism

Well the point isn't if the idea maps perfectly on to reality, the point is that the attempt to force the idea to map perfectly onto reality causes genocide.

Fuck no
