What's the deal re: Germany & Lithuania?

IIRC they never had "Baltic German" nobility & the Nazis really seemed to hate them for some reason (they also traded it to the U.S.S.R. for Warsaw in the M-R Pact)

I'm not sure, it's probably based off of the United Baltic Duchy, and how it did not include Lithuania as well. It would help if I knew more about the Germans' plans for Eastern Europe other than maps.

They were a lot closer before WW2, and even moreso before the reformation, there are a few alternate histories floating around the internet where the Lithuanian / Polish commonwealth allies heavily with East Prussia and becomes the "Germany" whereas Austria absorbs the rest of Germany and the general idea is that the central powers are so strong that IF a WW1 like event where to occur everybody in continental Europe would have been overwhelmed.

Hannover merely used to be the state making up the majority of the territory of Lower Saxony, followed by Braunschweig, Oldenburg, Schaumburg and a few other territories, depending on how far back you go. Lower Saxony was constructed under the British occupation forces harking back all the way to Old Saxony.
