Europe has bigger problems to worry about like an unstable currency, high unemployment rates, drug use, shrinking economic opportunity etc. just like America and the rest of the Developed world.

People should realize the conditions after WW2 which produced the post-war miracle wouldn't last forever and were in fact the result of extremely specific circumstances as well as the fact that populations naturally fall and rise in a cyclical manner. Even major blows to Europe's population such as the Black Death or the world wars didn't make the European race go instinct.

The only thing Europe needs to do is keep the billions of non-Europeans out of their continent. This is it. Nothing more needs to be done and everything will work out.

This a hundred times over. Depending on what you define as civilization, western civilization really is in no more decline than it ever was. Our system of government, way of life, philosophies, ways of dress, religion, etc. are more popular than ever. The reduction of importance of the extended family unit and the rise of the individual as an island has caused this trend. Everyone thinks about their own desires and wants over those of others, and assumes they need to focus all their efforts on their own well being above anyone else, including family.

In the past, having children was seen as a continuation of the family unit. Children will always be a burden on the parents from birth to their teenage years at least, but with children, you have the advantage of creating another generation for your family line and theoretically, someone who will share similar values and characteristics as yourself. In addition, with continued service to the family unit, you also have an individual that can help you later in life when you can't do everything yourself anymore, such as when old age begins to take its toll and productive work isn't possible.

With all members of the family unit working towards the betterment of each other, each individual within the family has a better chance of success due to the nature of the support group they were born into. Modern times attempts to move away from this to shift dependence on family towards dependence on government.

It is when they begin to demographically replace you in a "democracy".
