What if Morocco attempted to convert England to Islam in the 13th century?

In 1213 King John after being excommunicated by Pope Innocent the third, sent emissary's to Morocco asking for protection, due to the majority of his barons hating him and threat from a French invasion. In return for Moroccan support he would make Islam the official state religion.

The caliphate of the time (thinking that this was retarded) rejected the proposal. My question is though what if he had accepted and sent troops to England, attempting to protecting John and enforcing a English conversion to Islam.

lol no, the 13th century English would btfo any Morrocan invasion that came ashore.

Not to mention that you are talking about an amphibious assault 2000km away that has to pass the Castilian and Portuguese fleets.

It would have been a slaughter.

For the Ummayads, a rival muslim power not directly under their control was always a threat. The greatest threat to every islamic dynasty has always been other moslems.

Where the fuck did you read anything about a Moroccan invasion?

It wouldn't have been a invasion though? John still had some aspect of control and could have simply not told anyone until they landed.

As for Castile and Portugal Morocco with the support of other Ummayads could have held their own in a naval conflict.

>sent emissary's to Morocco asking for protection

Fucking anglos
kill them all

everyone in england would be in an uproar and even his own men would turn on him

no smart person would waste men protecting him from his own people

>The caliphate of the time (thinking that this was retarded) rejected the proposal
the only possible outcome, because it was retarded

>As for Castile and Portugal Morocco with the support of other Ummayads could have held their own in a naval conflict
The Castillian navy alone would have buttfucked all the Ummayad fleets combined.A pathetic English fleet annihilated the Mameluks in the mediterranean in the nineth crusade. How the fuck would they beat a stronger navy than England's plus the Portuguese fleet?

Then the marriage deal Richard and Saladin were considering between their siblings suddenly makes a lot more sense.

>Ummayad

This wasn't a thing in the 13th century. The caliphate in question would have been the Almohad empire.

>Where the fuck did you read anything about a Moroccan invasion?

Military support would have been required and basically everyone would know about it long before they reached England, that is, if they ever reached England.

>As for Castile and Portugal Morocco with the support of other Ummayads could have held their own in a naval conflict.

> Ummayads
>13th century

KEKY

Mamelukes are shit tier in comparison to Morroco and Tunisian navy's. All these burqas did was raid the Mediterranean so they could come back with more galleys to take more shit.

I read the first comment and it fucked me up.

>The Castillian navy
Did Castile even have a navy in 1213?

>Papal/Imperial/baronial/claimant assassin kills John the Apostate
>dump his corpse to the dirt
>order restored

Yes.They took Seville that way
The Almohad navy got BTFO by the Castillian navy at Seville and Cadiz. If you add Portugal and Aragon to the mix there is no chance for this to happen

what is this cuck bullshit about sandnigger fleets? those people are too retarded to buld and maintain navies for fucks sake. is this some kike board or what?

This whole incident is a myth as far as I can tell. No reputable source confirms that this proposal ever actually existed, though the myth seems popular and persistent the middle east and the islamic community in Britain. That being said even making the proposal would have resulted in a massive uprising by the barons, who were quite willing to defy the authority of a weak king like John (as seen when they strong-armed him into signing the Magna Carta)

This tapestry must have been made by a Jew to trick us then. lmao

fuck off

fuck off retard
