Ok Veeky Forums let's be real about the medium to long term future of these coins. Most of these alts are shit. We all know that, and we are just pumping them for the gains. So let's be real here:
-Bitcoin is like Windows. Kind of clunky and pieced together, but ubiquitous and the original. -Ethereum is like Linux. Smart and well designed but too unmanageable to ever have broad use or appeal, but immensely useful on back end applications. -Who is Mac? Who is the one that makes crypto cool and trendy and prepackaged?
Verge maybe. It has a decent name and logo. Most Cryptos have retarded names like Ethereum. Bitcoin is alright and yes it won't go anywhere - this is the only coin being pushed onto normies, they even call Ethereum "oh is that Bitcoin" too.

The market will condense but based on the different fields these coins are working in. Check out that asain doctors blog, he has a recent list where he sorts coins into what niche they're filling. There are multiple coins in most niches and that could be and probably will be condensed. At least come up with a smarter analysis than a knee jerk reaction of "ooooOoooOoOo too many coins. scary!"

Bitcoin is like Apple because Apple technically came first at least on the consumer level and is more expensive and harder to upgrade.
