The concept of Marxism and Marxist revolution still exists and will exist as long as capitalism exists, frankly in the West a Marxist revolution won't happen if the masses are aware what they're creating is Marxism, the Soviet Union stole that word and turned it into something that scares Americans.
They'll call it something else, it'll be workers owning the means of production and working collectively to run a more fair and democratic economy. In the end dialectical materialism and historical materialism are the major drivers of history and the synthesis is never going to be "The wealthy minority finds a way to stay in power forever."

Communism or at least socialism is probably inevitable, but the communist tradition is moribund. It's growing now in reaction to neoliberalism and the alt-right, but isn't a significant force in the West.

I interact with people of all political beliefs. Leaving my basement gave me these ideas
Talking to the "reactionary conservative Trump voters" and the "Radical leftists" while also studying Marxism outside of the bubble of academia and the parties took me out of the circle jerk and taught me that the Trump voters want socialism, they just don't know what to call it.

in all fairness what communism hoped to achieve in the 1800s has either become true in capitalist societies or has had better alternatives found later on.
Communism does seem pretty dead, nowhere have i seen communists/marxists who had respectable opinions and the only time i met hardcore communists they were racist skinheads longing for the good ol isolationist tyranny.
