How developed could the Americas and Africa have been if they had contact with each other?

>Africa
Richest kingdoms
Full-fledged metallurgy
Useful animals

>Americas
Written language
Mathematics
Efficient and productive crops

Only Mayans had a fully-developed written language; Aztecs only developed it partially and Incas had no written language.

Bump

It would be interesting, African Kangdoms wouldn't have the means to conquer much, though mesoamericans would all die of smallpox anyway, you'd have Africa colonies warring with natives for centuries

>Richest kingdoms
>Full-fledged metallurgy
>Useful animals
>Written language
>Mathematics
>Efficient and productive crops

And not a single ship between them

>you'd have Africa colonies warring with natives for centuries

That's not the only outcome. You'd have coastal states that serve as an intermediary between the Americans and the Africans as a go between on both sides based on the powers on each in that area of the coast so to say.

Not a seafaring one. West Africa has very little natural harbours to make use of and not sure about South America.

there were 2 attempts from the Mali kingdom to reach "the edge of the atlantic ocean" with considerable fleets but both of those were lost

either they sank or lost or landed and then perished to locals we dont know, but there seems to be evidence for such intentions and attempts

Actually looking at the history of Africans in the Americas they tend to conquer Natives with ease. Miskito, Garifuna, as well as all the maroon societies either assimilated them, rules them or forced them to flee.

An Agricultural revolution would increase the carrying capacity of both semi-arid and tropical regions of the Americas. If horse, cow and goat survived that would also shift populations. Disease would persist but atleast West Africans knew about inoculation and could carry the practice.

Most groups would be quickly assimilated, empires and kingdoms would be able to resist or acculturate with these new peoples.

The natives actually practiced slavery, something conveniently memory holed by the libs to push the poor noble savage BS
Some tribes even supported the confederacy

The civil war is always pushed as a black and white person thing.
But natives are ignored in that part of history because it ruins the lefts narrative

Africans did too

And most tribes supported the British during the revolution because Americans would be taking over their lands hyper-aggressively without the crown keeping them in check.

>their lands

Falae. Native Americans had no knowledge of property rights

citation needed.

they took and kept slaves you moron

>incans

magic knots, how do they work?

>All Native America is da Inca!!!! MUH SOCIALISTIC NATIVES

kill yourself historically illiterate monkey

Stop with this meme

This is correct. I don't know what the other spergs are on about.
NA Indians learned about actual "property" much later after being in contact with the Euros for a substantial time.
SA Indians mostly died because of sickness and killling each other, they probably had some concept of property beforehand, but as I said their favorite pasttime was dying and being bred out into irrelevance.

What's with your obsession with the left this topic has nothing to do with them.

They were called quipus and were used to count, they survived the spanish conquest and used to be regulary used until the spaniards realized that the natives were tricking them.

Givin this a lil bumparooni

They had it nonetheless. Also, Mayan writing is objectively the coolest syllabary.
