There are Chinese Jews

>Most scholars agree that a Jewish community has existed in Kaifeng since the Northern Song Dynasty (960–1127), though some date their arrival to the Tang Dynasty (618–907) or earlier.[1] Kaifeng, then the capital of the Northern Song Dynasty, was a cosmopolitan city on a branch of the Silk Road. It is surmised that a small community of Jews, most likely from Persia or India, arrived either overland or by a sea route, and settled in the city, building a synagogue in 1163.

Japs follow shinto

>Shinto and Buddhism are Japan's two major religions. Shinto is as old as the Japanese culture, while Buddhism was imported from the mainland in the 6th century. Since then, the two religions have been co-existing relatively harmoniously and have even complemented each other to a certain degree. Most Japanese consider themselves Buddhist, Shintoist or both.

>Religion in Japan is dominated by Shinto (the ethnic religion of the Japanese people) and by Buddhist schools and organisations. According to surveys carried out in 2006[1] and 2008,[2] less than 40% of the population of Japan identifies with an organised religion: around 35% are Buddhists, 3% to 4% are members of Shinto sects and derived religions, and from fewer than 1%[3][4][5] to 2.3% are Christians.[note 2] In 2009, an official survey showed that over half the Japanese families had a "butsudan" or Buddhist altar in their homes. in 2009 data from the Agency of Cultural Affairs stated that there were 89 million Buddhists in Japan. [6] In 2011, after the Tsunami, it was reported that 90% of the Japanese identified as Buddhist or Shinto or a combination of both.

>Modern cement was invented in the 19th century, but the Romans had it long before. On the other hand, we had Maxwells equations, which could have been used to derive General Relativity and given us our first Nukes just a few decades later. Are tech went from Roman to Nuclear age in three decades.

>In 2011, after the Tsunami, it was reported that 90% of the Japanese identified as Buddhist or Shinto or a combination of both.

desu, their idea of Buddhism and Shinto are not very "intrusive", specially compared to Western or Abrahamic religions. Also, specially in the case of Shinto, is more of a cultural thing, sure, you may not believe everything has a soul or what not, but its the OC religion of the country and your people, the least you can do is take part on festivals and the such.

The problem in most of the world is that you can't treat religion as culture because the number or fanatics there is. Sometimes you can even take part of religious celebrations or what not because you don't "believe" in them. And of course, we can't forget the other side of the spectrum, faggots who don't understand religion is part of human culture, history and society and they want to exterminate every aspect of it.

President John Tyler (b.1790) still has living grandchildren.

The last living German veteran of the Franco- Prussian war saw Germany united, destroyed, rise again, destroyed again, and rise once more. He died in 1953.

Most people on this board probably don't know this, but there was someone born on the obscure island of Corsica who became Emperor of all of France

Only morons think that though. Japanese people who claim they don't follow a religion just mean they are not actively religious, but their baseline beliefs are still more than likely a combination of shinto and buddhism since those religions are just hardcoded into Japanese society.

Japan has a weird approach to religion. They just sort of go with the flow for the most part. Shinto isn't even what you'd call a real organized religion, more a collection of folklore traditions, superstitions, and myths. Shinto observances have long been enfolded into Japanese culture to the point that they don't see visiting Shinto shrines or buying talismans as actual religious observance, it's just what everybody else does and what the previous generations did, so they go with the flow and continue the tradition. Buddhism is a bit more serious since it's tied to important ceremonies like weddings, funerals, and various holidays, but even still the Japanese just see these as yet more traditions to observe largely divorced from religious considerations.

That's cuz the military provides a lot of tech to NASA. Increasing funding to the military is effectively increasing NASA funding.

You'll notice we landed on the moon during Vietnam.

Nasa is a bloated bureaucracy which was instrumental for a concise task like getting to the moon, but is subject to the rules that govern all bureaucracies. Blame the shuttle project for eating investment in future projects and the iron law before you blame blacks. jerrypournelle.com/chaosmanor/nasa-the-iron-law-strikes-again/

Space "exploration" is a bottomless pit, the Moon was about as far as we could go. Maybe in a few decades some country will place a flag on Mars, but that's about it. Any kind of colonization is a fucking pipedream.

Why

There's no Pope John XX
English had a colony in Crimea during the Middle Ages
Gorillas were believed to be imaginary animals for 2300 years
There was a proposal to turn Germany into an agrariar society following its defeat in WWII so that it wouldn't cause harm anymore, and nobody took it seriously

not exactly historical as its still happening but anyway

>china harvests organs and sells them to rich foriegners for hundreds of thousands of dollars
>if someone is murdered the police will basically just choose someone most of the time to charge
>if you are charged you have 99.9% chance youll be executed
>they have execution buses so isolated areas can execute people and keep the body fresh

>also when the falun gong (if yoga was a religion) were a thing in the 90s they would be arrested because its illeagal
>they wouldnt tell the police their names, because their family and associates would be rounded up too
>without a name to a person they are invisible to the system and not accounted for, no extra money to house them etc no one will miss them if they go missing because no one knew they were there
>so they just started harvesting them for their organs and selling them for a massive profit

pic related, this is an exibition of real human bodies that goes from city to city, people go and see how the body works and stuff like that, but they are all just harvested prisoners

i went to see it in dublin a few years ago

A lot of his Eastern claims around China aren't believed but his journey is incredible. The dispute comes from his writings of the cities in China he supposedly visited don't match up. He most likely wrote down what others had told him and exaggerated it.

Yes he did

Bogs.

Tartars came later. Google will find tons of stuff with "Crimean Gothic".

I thought he only made it to Indonesia. The way he writes about the Chinese makes it very obvious he never visited them.

No he didn't

This

that's the point of improved farming you mong. It allows society to diversify. The average person nowadays has access to more information than Galileo or Copernicus and yet they also have far more potential to specialise
