Is third way/social democracy the ultimate red pill ?

Is third way/social democracy the ultimate red pill ?

bump

No, it's the ultimate blue pill.

It doesn't challenge capital in any meaningful way, which means it's constantly under the assault of the bourgeoise. Hence, it's good while it lasts, but unless it recons seriously with monied power, it'll eventually get steamrolled. Tldr full communism or bust.

How many more times must you kill that Rosa?

Communism will never win electorally. Give people a choice between two extremes, and they'll always choose the perceived security of the Right over the risky Left.

Third Way was good because it directly addressed people's fears about voting for the Left, which is why it was such a dominant political force in the 90s until the financial crash. It's dead now, perhaps permanently.

The tragedy of the Third Way was that it began because all the moderates were expelled from the right and ended up on the left, now they've been expelled from the left too.

The left flank of social democracy, what we saw from the 1940s to the 1970s, is. "Third Way" - Clinton and Blair - is garbage that basically validated the rise of neoliberalism.

Every attempt at Full Communism has resulted in Social Democracy, without fail.
The state never gives up power, and an unspoken upper class forms that benefits from capital.

Third way is fascism.

The Left particularly need to be detail orientated in order to win elections. Most citizens want progress, but they want it in the least risky way possible.

Compare Blair's 1997 manifesto summary (top) to Corbyn's last year (bottom).

Social democracy is great. As people become accustomed to its fruits, however, they become contrarian and ungrateful, and ascribe their own personal depression or universal social problems to the current society, like the Unabomber. So people stop defending it, and the emotive enthusiasm of political radicals draws in "disenfranchised" white teenagers with low empathy and the desperation for group identity as a remedy to their personal misery.

>they'll always choose the perceived security of the Right over the risky Left.

Maybe the right seems secure to you, but the reaction to Trump in America proves otherwise. The right is just perpetually paranoid.

On the Right don't seem secure to me, but they'll always be perceived to be more so than the Left.

Inherently, conservativism is an appeal to preserving the status quo. They couch everything in terms of family, safety and tradition. Of course it's a sham, but it anchors the Right as the Safe Choice, and let's them do things the Left cannot. For example, can you imagine the blowback of a Leftwing president had re-opened relations with communist China instead of Nixon?

>Oh

If you seriously believe Burkino Faso or Communist Cuba are basically the same as capitalist states I don't know where to start

Um people fight pretty fucking hard for social services where they exist. Ask any middle American octogenarian how they feel about evvvilll socialized medicine and then ask them how they feel about cutting social security. Anything that exists in America is definitionally American and thus good.

It's the best political system that has ever existed on a large scale.

The top is things you'll see advocated by any center-right party on earth and are concrete promises. Below is just pipe dream bullshit or meaningless buzzwords.
>Democracy in our Economy
>Act to end Predjudice and Injustice
>Peace and justice abroad

Wow

Third way is neoliberalism not socdem you fucking moron. If anything neoliberalism fucking socdem up shows the flaws of social democracy. Just as easy as the state can help and serve the working class, it can just as well undermine and fuck with it

That is like Corbyn personal shit and not the PR he is pushing for an election

Third Way is shit

Third Position, on the other hand, seems pretty good

>Is a big Ponzi scheme the best system ?

Yes when you're at the top of the pyramid

Social democracy is still tainted by marxism, they still believe the goverment needs to go balls deep into the economy and try to control everything and control people's lives. Anyone who disagrees with this that or the other is labelled part of a bourgeois conspiracy against them or some other pet peeve of their voter base, if their voters are an ethnic minority they will conjur up conspiracy theories about evil whitey putting them down.

The best example of this is their treatment of the homeless, malnourished children with shitty parents and the elike who are invariably in greater need of assistance than the majority of their voters. They would rather trip over themselves to help refugees (future voters) or have taxpayers foot the bill pay for sex change operations and birth control pills. It is well within their power to end homelessness yet they do nothing, safe in the knowledge they are powerless underdogs and oppressed victims and it is the fault of evil capitalism bla bla while they have 100s of billions of dollars taxed from capitalists to play with and the right to forcibly intervene in the economy and it would take only a fraction of this power to accomplish this goal. The moral bankruptcy of this ideology is such that there is no realistic prospect of a concerted effort to help the actual poorest in society ever happening.

>red rose symbol

it is nothing more than beautiful veneer with an ugly interior

That isn't the 4th way that's just capitalism you dumb fucker

>Third way is neoliberalism not socdem you fucking moron.
Lol, you're a retard.

>third way dems pushed for neoliberalism and neglected the working class
>social democrats
Not an argument. Socdem has a legacy as old as socialism and is not a new concept

a third way that realised the dangers of inequality/creating underclasses would be pretty solid tbqh

Blair was hardly left though, the people weren't putting their trust into the left, they were putting their trust in a more centrist labour party.

Yes.

Christian democracy is the real third way tbqh

Protip all idiots ITT: "Third Way" is meaningless, every single economic system that isn't capitalism or central planning calls itself "third way", from socdem morons to natsoc cretins to neolib shitmasters, it is a term that has no useful meaning, please stop using it.
