Has this part of the world ever contributed to world history?

Has this part of the world ever contributed to world history?

Slaves

yes

Slaves n AIDS.

Although to be fair, Ethiopia/Abyssinia was pretty cool.

Yes,
Slaves.

George Weah
Didier Drogba
Ian Khama
the films Viva Riva and Tsotsi
Mamadou & Mariam

Humanity originated there

Yes, they contributed valuable farming equipment for the colonization of the Americas.

Diamonds, rubber, slaves, rare earths for your cellphone.

All that and Africa still never got on pair with Europe prior to colonization, hmmmmmm

Underrated post

Kek

They had established trade routes to the Middle East and China. Which we promptly took.

That's really about it.

this thread again

africa has a shitty environment for agriculture which could only be maintained in the Sahel and Ethiopia, by the time new technology allowed expansion into new terrain their neighbors invaded

humans I guess

>africa has a shitty environment
Southern Africa and the Nile region are pretty fertile

>Nile
This is sub-Saharan Africa, to be fair

It will contribute and make up most of the world stage soon.

As nations go from Third to First World standards of living, doesn't the birth rate decline dramatically?

Not criticizing but is it fair to say that as Africa becomes less and less shitty, the birth rate will decline and that graph will be off?

>people can't migrate
wtf I love the volga river now

That is because they are testosterone sensitive and testosterone leads to rapidly forming muscle mass, promiscuity, and impulsive behavior.

And they might be more testosterone sensitive because living in the "ideal" human habitat of Savannah with lots of wild game, physical prowess mattered more than anything.

It did, The Muslims' had to escape from the idol worshipers, and their destination was to 'Al-Habasha' which is located in Sudan/Somalia now.

The prophet praised their king as a just and kind follower of Christ, so he ordered his people that needed shelter to seek the kingdom of Al-Habasha, once the Muslims reached their land and they met the king (Al-Najashi) he greeted them and accepted them to live in the kingdom.

Soon after that he denounced Christianity and converted to Islam, his advisers and some of the people revolted against him.. but only for him to win against them in a war and turned his kingdom into an Islamic nation.

So if it wasn't to him, the whole middle east and Africa would look differently.

Rhodesia though

They usually do, but most of Africa has a horrible case of "resource curse". Their governments make nearly all their money from natural resources, and nearly none from the labor of their countrymen. This means that most of their leaders give fuck all about educating their peasants and only invest in their own security and the roads that connect the mines with the port.

Hey they gotta pay off the World Bank nigga shit bills are bills

Explain why the negros of North Africa wouldnt do what the Egyptians did then.

>negros of North Africa
???
Nearly everyone in North Africa before the 20th century was a Berber, Beduin or Arab and there were lots of cultures there. Their civilizations weren't as massive as Egypt because no Nile.

If you see blacks in countries like Lybia and Algeria nowadays it is because the European Union pays them to take sub-Saharan immigrants.

No user negros have been in Northern Africa since the late mesolithic era. Ancient Egyptians even called their native negros baboon people.

There were tons of niggers on NA as slaves or just mixed

Ok. I'll take that back, but even then, how would you expect a minority of black slaves in Northern Africa to do civilization building? He was obviously talking about free peoples.

Drogba's header against Bayern in the CL Final makes up for any of Africa's shortcomings.

>Southern Africa

Not exactly. Access to more modern farming tech helped them out on that and earlier making use of indigenous techniques, flora knowledge and livestock breeds that let them survive down south in South Africa.

Diamonds, rubber, and rare earths are really only useful for an industrial civilization. It's like being in a video game surrounded by only lvl.99 swords when you are lvl.5. That shit is OP but you are never going to level up enough to use it because you have no weapons(resources) in your level to use to gain XP.

Also this

Well it made humans

Collosal mistake I think we can all agree

>tfw Earth will never be populated by cute bipedal cat people

Just end me already
