I was reading some film history and saw several artists in the 80s talking about the way in which AIDS affected the views of society on sex, setting back the movement towards sex liberation noticeably, and actually crashing what they called the "golden age of erotic cinema" (porn with large budgets).

Then I noticed that certain places where AIDS became more prevalent, like Russia and the US, have had a larger backlash on homosexuality than places like Japan and Western Europe

Did AIDS shape modern culture?

>Then I noticed that certain places where AIDS became more prevalent, like Russia and the US, have had a larger backlash on homosexuality than places like Japan and Western Europe
>Like Russia and the US
And the Congo, and Liberia, etc.
The important difference is that Japan and Western Europe aren't shitholes.

Yes, you answered your own question.

Young people still aren't having as much sex as people did in the late '70s.

The most dangerous D20 to ever exist. Pray to Jesus you don't roll a nat 1

Or the countries with a higher prevealance way of treating groups at risk for HIV. Sending drug abusers to jail don't do much for them actually approaching authorities for help

Boo ho and we dont go around naked under The effect of acids either, what a set back!

What do you have against carnal enjoyment?

AIDS in Russia has nothing to do with homosexuality; it's from rampant drug addiction and M-F transactional sex (i.e. women engaged in occasional prostitution).

Also, there hasn't been a major backlash against gays in the US; overall public opinion hasn't gone backwards even though laws get changed when Christian fundamentalists gain influence.

The destruction of nuclear family

And the return of the extended family, a much more secure social network?

Hahahah Reddit is waitiiiiing

>Also, there hasn't been a major backlash against gays in the US;
