Average Tuition: $9,650

>Average Tuition: $9,650
>Average Room and board: $8,000
>Total cost: $70,600

Daily reminder that college is NOT WORTH $70,600 over 4 years. You end up paying $783.80 a month for 10 years to pay it back. Essentially slavery. And with the job market right now, you're basically fucked if you don't have a job even for a few months.

pic related. a successful college drop out laughing at losers who bought into the college meme.

my college cost $50,000 per year and my parents paid for it

Just don't pay back your debt to.the jews :^) then flee to Africa.

Hahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahhahahaha.

Oh goodness.

Hahahahahahhaahhahahahahah.

I got Obama to pay for my college. Still a waste of time. Oh well.

Only worth it if your starting salary is equal to your 4 year tuition cost. Social work major at a private university? Nah.

Or go to college, graduate, then flew country without paying. OP is right tho.

Or if you are a wuss, just work some shit job at McDonald's for a while and then start a buisness or a trade.

>not majoring in STEM

it's like you want to payback student debt for the rest of your life

work 7 years breaking my back for $30k year or party in a beach town and casually go to school for 3 years costs $20k a year
>both lead to 6 figure salaries
school was a good investment of time and money in my opinion

>Implying my parents didn't pay for college for me

Trade school's cool too

With a 5 year loan, it totals to $81,894, or $1364.90 a month. Even with a $60,000 income, you only take home $3553 a month. After student loans, that's only $2188.10 a month. Congratulations, you make less than a manager at Mcdonalds!

So basically Higher Education is asking you to slave away for 4 years in their tax payer funded temples, then slave away for your corporate masters for another 5. In the process having almost nothing in savings.

Great system there goy!

154 hours logged over 10 years, no degree, $82K in debt, 33 years old, make $150K a year in a field that has absolutely nothing to do what I went to school for.

Fuck college.

seeMedian pay for some STEM graduates is $60,000. You're still a slave for 9 years dumbshit.

got full rides to undergrad and grad school

wouldn't waste my time in college if i could do it over even though it was paid for, worthless

Don't have to pay loans if you don't have a job

People shouldn't go to college unless they have a real idea of what they want to do with their life. Trade school is also a great option for people which is severely underrated in our society

This.

Hi friend of mine from college

My college instate tuition was $20K/year and living expenses were about 10K, so essentially $120K for 4 years.

I only had to pay 20K after grants & scholarships, and my parents ended up paying it, so I'm essentially debt free after going to one of the best state universities in the USA and getting a B.S. in Computer Engineering.

I work in Chicago now making 90K a year working for a large marketing firm only 2 years out of school with 6 weeks vacation a year and tons of other benefits. 20 minute drive to work from my parents McMansion. Guess college was a scam huh?

My college tuition was free cause I'm not a fucktard. Also my parents payed for room and board and I am in the process of paying them back. Get fucked op

Jesus Christ this is gonna be me one day

People who say fuck college shouldn't mistake the extortion level tuitions for the college itself.

Higher education institutions are places to go where you can converse with a wide range of people who are smart.

Higher education campuses have many amenities that evidence high quality of life, including bucolic surroundings, varied and engaging events, deep and well-funded research laboratories, large and varied library collections, extensive physical fitness facilities, and loads of hot women.

You faggots who don't live near these ancient institutions, invented by the Greeks, as a counterpoint to society at large, are really at a disadvantage. Even a modest community college nearby can offer many, many benefits, at low or reasonable prices, if not free- to learn skills, trades, and improve one's own capabilities.

I took a middling road, going to a cheap state college and getting a 2 year transfer degree and graduated without debt. It wasn't harvard, but that wasn't the point. Studying in a library is free. Learning how to think and learning about the real world was the whole point. For some people going to a high profile school to claw their way up a corporate ladder isn't appealing. But to dismiss higher education institutions in general is just really ignorant and self-limiting.

Yeah, I browse Veeky Forums from my white collar job too.

> Average Room and board: $8,000
It's almost like part time jobs don't exist!

>Average Tuition: $9,650
It's almost like every single college doesn't offer scholarships!

I graduated college in 4 years debt free and got a job my first week out making baseline 74k with a 2% commission on consulting projects that average about 5 months and bring in 200k - 2 mill... but fuck me right?

>paying ALL that money to live on campus
>not just living on campus freshman year for the life experience
>not getting a shitty house with you and your buddies for 300$ a month each
>not getting shitfaced there every weekend and inviting your poorfag friends whom are wasting their money with on campus housing

Shaking MY head

I graduated in 2016 with a BA in information systems and I don't have a job yet. I got close a few times but no luck. Am I fucked?

You saved $17,500 a year? Yeah I call BS unless it was a really shitty construction job and you managed to not spend a penny.

>americuck
>have to wageslave himself or his parents to actually get education
>no freedom
>SJW shit everywhere
>pajeets raping their asses on every field, can't get a job unless it's flipping burgers and probably they won't be able to do either since those jobs are taken by inmigrants

sure it feels good to not be a fucking burgerlan citizen.
The only godo thing you have going on is that Amazon is cheap as fuck and has over night delivery for random stupid shit you want to buy, everything else is fucking hellish.
Land of the free, home of the brave... yeah right, you sure got all fucked really bad

I got a full ride for undergrad and my masters.

Must suck to be a intellectual manlet.

Thank god i live in Europe where you don't have to carry around debt to receive higher education.
Long live socialism, am I right guys?

It's worth it if you can do it cheap enough or go to an elite university. I'm graduating with only about $5,000 in debt.

>Not getting a full ride
Enjoy being a brainlet?

>computer engineering
>white collar
if your office isn't full of sweatpants and band shirts, nobody in that place knows shit about computers

Yes

>It's almost like part time jobs don't exist!
weird how i'm down to 5k just from... you know, not spending outrageous money for a place to live in and food to live on.
8 months part time, 4 months full time student side job have me come out ahead 9k per year, and the job aligns with my degree so it's basically studying while getting paid.

I got my degree debt free. Still a waste of time.

Professors are all old faggots who can't hack it in the real world.

College doesn't have exclusive knowledge. Here is what college teaches you. How to suck dick, and bullshit.

I would be making more if I didn't wasted my time on highschool 2.0. I guess it makes me more acceptable to the superficial niggers who thing degree = compent, smart.

The student loan program needs to end, let the professors starve.

Kek

Be an electrician, get a backup skill while you young.

His wife is successful.

In my country (Russia) college is free if you are smart enough for college. Why can't you burgers do the same?
Half of your college students are not even worthy of a high school diploma, yet they pay money and graduate. What a waste.
