Yes, if you're running Windows.

You need to configure RPC settings in magacoin.conf in %APPDATA%\Magacoin though.

I don't think there is a ASIC/GPU miner or pool compatible with this coin. Its all solo mining for now. I think the dev wants to make it difficult for them to flood the network to give everyone a chance to get MAGA.

Grab the miner: github.com/magacoin/magaminer/releases

Configure the wallet:

Edit %APPDATA%\Magacoin\magacoin.conf
Insert:

server=1
rpcuser=username
rpcpassword=password
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1

Launch magaminer: minerd.exe -o 127.0.0.1:5332 -u username -p password --coinbase-addr=address

Substitute username, password, and address.

So I got the miner to work but it's doing nothing but spamming "LONGPOLL pushed new work" and thread khash/s speeds.

I have an FX-6300 and only getting about 6 khash/s :(

Not as far as I know. The dev has it set up for CPU mining right now. There are only 62M MAGACoins. A GPU or ASIC would destroy chances for the little guy.

Make sure your conf user/pass and mining command line user/pass are the same. I made that mistake.
