So this other day while my dad was giving me a lift to a friends house, he was complaining about his job. Then I asked him: >"if you hate your job so much, why don't you just do something you like? I mean life is short, right?"
He then straight up snapped at me and said:
>"You don't have to do a single thing, and you're provided with food, clothes, a home... I've had no time to think on such ridiculous thoughts. Isn't it about time you grew up and get married already!? Right now, you're a good for nothing NEET. All you do is eat away at my life!"
Jack Gutierrez
I think he might be right
Oliver Murphy
midlife crysis probably?
Ryder Thompson
I feel bad that your dad is too beta to kick you out of his house
Evan Hall
You didn't answer the question. He refused to answer why he didn't want to quit his shit job and get a better one knowing fully well he'll be dead anyway within 30 years.
Eli Rodriguez
If you were rich, he would probably have responded differently. I got sorta rich from cryptocurrency and said I was quitting my job to do whatever I feel like, and my dad congratulated me and said he was jealous. Im going to try and get him to invest in memecoins in a few months. He dismissed the idea last year when I was sperging out about ethereum, but its not too late to get some gainz.
Brody Smith
no idea OP, sorry :/
Michael Murphy
Probably scared of not having enough money in retirement. Thats what my dad is worried about. He said he wasnt brave enough to quit.
Cameron Hughes
Fake.
Nobody IRL uses the acronym "NEET" out loud.
Joseph Myers
Did your dad really say NEET?
Aiden Phillips
because he has to support you, you ungrateful little shit
Michael Cooper
I heard them say it on radio4
Ryan Hall
Because he doesn't think there is a better job out there for him.
Kevin Hughes
I think older adults set their minds on the last ~15-20 years of their life that they can enjoy and get upset when someone challenges that idea or threatens it.
Blake Barnes
and that man was warren buffet
Jaxson James
He used "scrounger" but I am a college student after all, and have job applications lined up.
Eli Brooks
> why don't you just do something you like?
Lol, you just solved the great riddle in life OP, you are clearly smarter than all of mankind before you.
Not a lot of jobs out there that pay you to masturbate to anime porn though, so I guess you still need to work on it.
Jack Morris
he's just trying to pay the bills. if he quits no one will take care of him
Brayden Campbell
stop being a cunt to your dad
Gavin Clark
People like to justify their actions. Whether they are stupid or not. And if they cant they get angry.
Henry Green
When you are rising your children priority no. 1 is to get food, a home and stuff for your family, so there's no time for other things, things that you used to enjoy, and when you get a job and some stability you just can't go switching jobs, because of the risks it supposes to your family.
It's hard OP, you will understand only if you get married.
Hudson King
Lol you all stupid shits. Dad just extrapolated your idea. Get out of his neck and he will be able to do what he likes.
Joshua Cook
Because he has to support his leech of a son. Supporting you is his way coping with the guilt of raising a complete failure of a person. I have seen it with many NEETs: the parents tolerate their useless waste of kin due to guilt. NEETs typically also play out this guilt to their advantage: "but daddy it is YOUR fault I am depressed!" That is until the situation becomes completely intolerable and they kick you out on the street anyway.
Bentley Cox
If your kid is a neet it is usually due to bad parenting. Not giving your kid the skills necessary to succeed in education, work or socially.
Nathan Perez
>I am a college student after all, Then you're not a NEET.
Nathan Scott
Not in Education, Employment or Training
sorry man, but you're a turbonormie get out, ree, and such
Ryder Peterson
true to a point, but somewhere along the line they have to accept responsibility for their self
Yeah your parents did a bad job, but you are a grown ass man, it's up to you to do better than they did
Wyatt Phillips
>Right now, you're a good for nothing NEET. You live in Japan, user? I can't imagine a Western father saying something like that.
Joseph Green
he's completely right though. you have no place to ask that because you aren't taking on any responsibilities and you aren't faced with any meaningful sacrifice. it wasn't about "mortality" it was about a failure trying to be condescending to his own father.
with that said, LOL your dad doesn't have a career he likes? what a faggot.
Isaac Smith
>parasite asking why they wagecuck >when they couldn't even survive for 24 hours without said wagecuck
Fix your own situation before asking such a retarded question
Aiden Foster
its called 'buyers remorse'
the boomers bought the great (((western scam))) and have nothing to show for it.
Thomas Nelson
He is saying, "you ungrateful lazy little shit! I COULD do what I want if I didn't have work twice as hard to support your stupid ass!"
Christian Long
Quit standing on your dad's dick, user.
Ian Perez
Get a job Buy life insurance with your dad as beneficiary Kill yourself
Everyone wins!
Austin Thomas
This. Your dad didn't answer because he has to work a shit job to support his good for nothing son. Think of all the risks your dad didn't take and all the opportunities he let pass because he cares about you more than his own happiness.
Caleb Brown
your dad is a man while you are a spoiled little boy
Anthony Murphy
He's right, the next time he snaps you're on the street
Lincoln Phillips
I take it you people also hate your jobs and don't contemplate on your finite, meaningless lifespans in order to take more risks?
Landon King
i have contemplated that you are a faggot
Hudson Baker
here, have a (you). it's free
Cameron Hughes
I am working on a career I love and will reach financial independence in 7 years. My job is anything but repetitive or a drag. I am grateful my parents gave me some of that Lutheran work ethic and taught me the value of education. Then again I have a rich partner and come from a well to do family so I had it easier than most plebeians.
Thomas Flores
Your dad is a asshole for throwing that on your face over such a trivial discussion, people who do that generally try to use passive aggressiveness to cope with their lack of attitude, but he isn't exactly wrong. When you grow up and have a family you start to worry about things other than your own personal enjoyment. Supporting your life and family becomes more important than having fun at your job.
It's not that you can't do both things, it's just that at the age of your dad it becomes hard to change his job for something that will make him happy and will also give money to support his family. Lesson is, find something you like and earn money while you are young so that you don't become a bitter old man.
Gabriel Nelson
It doesn't cover it
Aaron Bailey
Well you would be angry too if you had to drive your useless w s around kek
Dylan Rivera
It's time to grow up faggot Just because you like jaking it to lolis in thigh highs flashing a smile with that cute k-9 while being in a compromised position doesn't mean someone would pay you for it
Grow up life sucks and you have to push through it Having a good for nothing son doesn't help either if you wanted your family to be happy you would have gotten a job long ago to stop being a financial burden and maybe get some of that stress of of your fathers chest so he could have time to think and move on with his career
>inb4 b-but it was theire decision to has kids Get the fuck out of here you socialist cunt, keep studying for your PhD in women studys
