My dad's a state attorney and my mom works for a large financial bank...

My dad's a state attorney and my mom works for a large financial bank. They told me yesterday that I need to pull my funds out of crypto by the end of the year. State & Federal regulations are in the works to make buying/selling crypto harder to do in the United States.

1. Banks will no longer allow users to buy crypto from known exchanges or allow deposits/transfers into your account from known exchanges starting January 1st.

2. Banks can close your account if they find out you bought or deposited money from crypto exchanges.

Nice just sold 100k!

Just 100k nice ! sold

1. Order a bitcoin card to a Mexican postal address
2. Regularly go to Mexico to withdraw from their ATMs
3. Profit!

who the fuck cares about the USA? they stoped being relevant after 9/11

Buy Monero then. Its whole purpose is to usurp laws and regulations. Darknet markets already accept XMR as a payment option alongside BTC. Unlike BTC it actually is untraceable.

And how exactly are they planning to do that? Care to share specifics, otherwise FUD and thx for playing.

okay then, guy from the internet that claims something without proof, I just sold my 200k in btc because you said so.
Thanks for informing me

>implying I have ever bought bitcoin
>implying I just don't get paid in bitcoin directly
>implying I haven't bought several lambos with bitcoin directly paying with my mycelium wallet with the smartphone

>2. Banks can close your account if they find out you bought or deposited money from crypto exchanges.

"banks"

you have to be under the age of 15.

My dad works at Valve

HL3 confirmed for 2018

They're going to look at the name of whoever wired you money and see if it's a known bitcoin exchange.
Many banks already do that btw.

If this is true it just makes me want to double down

>USA
Who gives a fuck.

My dad works at butboin is not tru

why though?
the government restricting access to something always results in that thing lowering in value

>The land of the free

not what I asked. How are they going to make it so Banks no longer allow it? They would have to pass a law that makes it completely illegal which I don't see happening ever.

>ha HA I am not in the United States therefore I am good to go!
You have to be dumb not to realize that crypto becoming basically unusable in the USA means that the value is going down to basically nothing

>Many banks already do that btw.
bullshit.. I'm yet to see actual proof of that too.

Not an answer to your question, but keep in mind that banks have already closed accounts for trading in cryptos, seemingly out of their own volition.

This. If true, the price of all crypto would skyrocket. Also, the major networks would not be listing bitcoin as a commodity, there would be radio silence.
Coinbase probably would not have all the bank APIs that they do if the banking cabal was trying to drive it out.
Some banks have made their API available to Coinbase already. That seems like a tacit acceptance. Too many people are using it every day for it be some underground hipster shit anymore.
That was back when the trading sites did not comply with banking ID regulations, now everything is very strict and you don't hear about it as much. The banks see the money to be had and some of them are cooperating. Most of the people who get popped now are moving too much money around and breaking other rules.

if it becomes unusuable in USA the price can only rise not fall you idiots, especially if they go full war on crypto

even if that's somewhat true, sporadic denial of transactions by certain banks doesn't mean anything. They are essentially shooting themselves in the knee imo. If they don't wanna except it, other banks will and learn to profit from it.

My dad works at Nintendo xD and my mom works at SEGA.

Cool story, OP.

>Banks will no longer allow users to buy crypto from known exchanges or allow deposits/transfers into your account from known exchanges starting January 1st.
isn't the whole point of crypto to get away from banks??

To everyone making stupid comments, this is already happening on a small scale in the UK, so I expect it will be happening in Europe too.

Just do a quick google search, banks have been closing accounts linked to bitcoin often and without reason. It makes sense. Heck, my banks, both business and personal will not allow transfers to most of the big names like Coinbase and so on

...

No, the point is for Banks to turn from institutions into software.

You're all goddamn brainlets. If normies stop buying bitcoin on Coinbase and Localbitcoins, and demand for bitcoin shrinks, how in hell is its price supposed to skyrocket?

Damn, I hate brainlets so much, but thanks for losing all that cash in the crypto game, I'll make use of it

Because when you make something illegal the supply gets cut and the price naturally rises, if anything if they make it illegal it would only gather more normie attention, not that you can really demonstratively ban cryto you absolute nigger

Just go to CB and look at the list of banks available when you link an account. Do business with them.
lmao. Look at literally anything that has been made illegal. Alcohol, drugs, guns, anything illegal is expensive as fuck. Legalization always drives price down. Prohibition always increases prices. Bitcoin is not a consumable, it's a commodity.

>Because when you make something illegal the supply gets cut and the price naturally rises

not if you literally can't use it anymore.

>not that you can really demonstratively ban cryto you absolute nigger

you can't ban crpyto but you can ban transfers from exchanges. Sites like localbitcoins would in effect also become illegal. And so far, you can't pay your bills with buttcoins or go grocery shopping so you still need that fiat hit

The problem is that you can ban financial access to crypto. Do you really think that Mr. Dad Normieson will meet with his dealer in a black alley to buy BTC?

>ITT people who think this is FUD but haven't seen the UK has been closing bank accounts for this exact reason for YEARS

>Because when you make something illegal the supply gets cut
No it doesn't, retard. Do you even have any idea what you're talking about, huh? This is not beer or guns or drugs, this is BLOCK CHAIN. The supply of coins remains the same as it was, it's all fucking decentralized, they can't confiscate it. But the demand actually become less, because normies think, "oh, it's prohibited, so I won't bother spending money on it"

Have you considered the possibility that many people don't care?
If it does happen BTC will take a hit but crypto will keep going without the US or UK.

No doubt, but it's a fucker in terms of risk, hassle and overall speed to have to funnel money through other countries/currencies to get in and out of crypto

>Look at literally anything that has been made illegal. Alcohol, drugs, guns, anything illegal is expensive as fuck
Because in all of those cases the government CONFISCATES those things. But it can't confiscate the block chain, do you get it, dummy? The supply of coins is totally unaffected. The demand shrinks, because everyone's scared to exchange cash for bitcoins.

just cash out in bitcoin the banks can't stop that

It's about time majority of crypto users are pedophiles and tax cheats honestly anyone using crypto should be labeled terrorist

You forgot to include a btc tipping address, here let me help you:

Your dad is a cuck. Your mom gets plowed by her banker boss and he feeds her this bullshit info while also feeding her dick

>paying taxes

Look simple, several people are trying to tell you the same thing. The banks are already in on it. If you don't think it is bankers who are behind all the exchanges, including coinbase, you are deluded. In the last year or so, every single outlet has tightened up their operation to be in compliance. If you stay inside the banks hidden rule book about how much risk you are exposing the bank to, you have nothing to worry about. People who constantly empty their account and do risky trading shit will get their account crypto or not.
The news networks have already legitimized it as an investment. There is too much traction to go back now.

The majority of politicians are pedophiles and 100% of central banks are tax cheats. What else u got?

Obviously the price would drop but i don't see these cowards nuking china any time soon

>The US and UK are going to shoot themselves in the face and hand the entire crypto market to china and europe.
wtf, I hate crypto now.

yeah thats why drugs are so fucking expensive

Every animal and INSECT is supersized in australia, fuck that place.

>several people are trying to tell you the same thing
Several brainlets, you all literally don't understand the difference between the supply of beer/drugs/guns (tangible items) and the supply of bitcoins (decentralized block chain), what kind of attitude do you deserve after than? Only poking you with a stick like monkeys in the cage.

And I don't care if this scenario is real or not.

>Only eagle in the world that attacks Parachutes & Paragliders
the shitposters of the sky

VPNs mate. USA can't stop us now.

>large financial bank

Wedge-Tailed eagles are genuinely frightening,

They just want their cut so it will be taxed and not outlawed.

>there have been reports of wedge-tailed eagles attacking UAVs used for mining survey
Fucking Australia

Good.

Crypto is a ponzi plus insecure fraud. It should be regulated more heavily than penny stocks and PayDay loans for preying on dumb, innocent people.

Ethereum is a Russian contrivance too.

I hope it's banned and the IRS throws the book at anyone with so much as a single transaction on an exchange. This is literally worse than online gambling and there is no argument whatsoever it shouldn't also be banned by Congress.

how the will people get their heroin and sex slaves then?

Thx for you invaluable insight, grandpa. Now go get your drugs and back to bed.

You know, its funny. This thread and this topic didnt give me a single ping of worry. Because theres little they can do to stop anyone from investing in bitcoin. They cant stop women in Shira law shitholes from investing in bitcoin and they are not allowed to own anything.

The Australian National Bird is the emu. Your argument is invalid.

they allow bitcoin in france?

10/10 you funny guy, Ill behead you last.

th-th-thanks

Okay, kid. Don't worry, Democrats are coming back in power to spank your fraudster ass hard when orange retard's boys are blown out next year.

Until then, we'll just keep making sure every single thing they do blows up in their faces. You know, like healthcare just did?

Yeah.

Crypto is fucked. I am going to drink deep from all the bitter, far right NEET tears here when Nancy Pelosi slams her gavel down with a big grin on the vote that bans crypto in America FOREVER.

Bitcoin fraudsters won't be fleecing the American people much longer.

Guys relax, my cousin works at the Federal Reserve and he said the government has plans to begin regulating the Crypto market and introducing it through mutual funds as a new experimental ultra-high-risk investment.

I JUST SOLD EVERYTHING. THANKS FOR THE TIPS ANONS!

we /an/ now

Pics of mom for proof

My dad works at the blockchain and he says OP's story is false

well my dad is an astronaut and he said you're BOTH wrong

My dad is the blockchain he said cryptos are for faggots

>crypto is ponzi
babyboomers need to be gassed.

I just sold my last one hundred thousand k

>my dad's an astronaut

Ask him when next DGB moon mission scheduled, I want to ditch my bags

Shit, my dad just works at Nintendo. Wish he could tell me when to sell sell sell.

DGB isn't going to the moon, its gonna be like the Challenger mission

Pathetic.

If OP isn't lying, won't crypto go down significantly since most of the participants live in the US.

>most of the participants live in the US.
Wrong. Most crypto, by far, is traded in Asia.

>4 year olds shoot down their peers with rifles because "muh gun rights, muh freedum"
>adults are not allowed to posses digital shitcoins they heard of on a korean softporn board "because reason"

Stay classy amerifags.

Well a lot of us live in the US so we do care. And this could also impact the price of crypto so it's worth knowing.

>banks
Thats why I am a crypto hodler.

>not knowing the difference between a pyramid scheme and a ponzi
Oh sweetie.

I would imagine that the US still makes up a huge chunk and could still negatively impact the market. Plus, I live in the US so I give a shit.

A state attorney knows nothing about regulations getting passed. That belongs to the state legislature you dumb fuck.
Large financial banks also know nothing about regulations, until they are passed. If she knew, everyone would know.
This is FUD plain and simple. OP is a faggot cocksucker.
An an actual attorney, here is what I have heard about bitcoin: nothing. The IRS treats gains like stocks, nobody else can regulate them because they aren't unique to the US. That would be like the US trying to "regulate" the Yen. It isn't going to happen.

The US market is not significant

The most they could ever hope to do is tax what you turn to fiat.

Thread is bullshit FUD

If anything governments are looking into adapting blockchain tech. One day they might even have their own coin.

>USA
Who gives a fuck?

Yeah, stockmarkte is 36k. Just give it time user.

>itt: triggered burgers
You account for about 10% of the volume in crypto, the world would happily move on without you. Your great minds are already in Singapour or Switzerland anyway.

I love the US, but you're in denial re: your relevance in crypto.

Kek

Do they not already do this?

t. burger thinks the world revolves around the U.S.

>2. Banks can close your account if they find out you bought or deposited money from crypto exchanges.
