Frankfurt School

Red-pill me on the ((((Frankfurt School)))). Were they really part of a plot to corrupt western culture in order to usher in the NWO?

youtube.com/watch?v=X_y0LxcANic

Was Avicenna in on it the whole time?

Aristotelian philosophy always seemed fishy to me.

>that spooky jew voice

Adorno was mostly just a grumpy old Jew who hated jazz (who doesn't)

Frankfurt School was anti-Aristotelian.

>Jewess admits there is a conspiracy

Anyone want to show this video to Henry Makow?

@HenryMakow

I don't think I'll ever be able to tell if these threads are ironic or not.

I can't tell either.

...

Adorno is my favorite right-wing philosopher

This.

I find it amusing that he called the cops on the student protesters in 1968.

Yeah, all that student activism gave him a heart attack which killed him.

I knew it. Those celebrity professor bastards.

>Cultural Marxism
Jesus fucking christ this meme is so fucking stupid

>le shabtai tzvi conspiracy
Does anyone legitimately believe this crap aside from Henry Madcow and Barry Chamish (RIP)?

The whole idea to me reeks of cognitive dissonance.
How can they be communists and neo liberals at the same time? Those two things are opposites. And i've seen them being called both.
"TO USHER IN NEO LIBERALISM "
Tho could be because most people don't know what neo liberalism actually is.

Except it's not a meme. I wonder who is behind this post?

>Except it's not a meme

It is a meme, you dumb negroid. Within the framework of this semantic retardation you might as well call Trump a "Cultural Putinist"

Erich Fromm had some interesting ideas about power. He basically argues that people are terrified of true freedom, and rarely grow out of the need to escape it by suborning themselves to other people or institutions (Escape from Freedom.) But somewhat ironically he also thought that the government should control media to ensure that its content is good for morality and social cohesion; and that people should turn to government for their needs rather than secondary systems like church groups or their neighbors (The Sane Society.) He has a lot of bad to say about fascism and communism, but for all the lip service he pays to freedom in those books and elsewhere the vision he presents of the ideal progression of society is remarkably moralistic and authoritarian. Basically that the people should have plenty of political and social freedom but the government should aggressively promote right-thinking behavior to ensure they vote for the right things. Which sounds pretty familiar, now that I type it out...

It is a meme. If you watched the video, the woman points out how the Franks were very pro-culture and wrote AGAINST cultural deterioration under capitalism.

If rightists think cultural marxism is real, there's nothing stopping them from taking over institutions

kek

Serves him right for denying my right to eat hamburger.

I wonder if Richard Spencer would like Fromm had he not been a member of the tribe.

>Basically that the people should have plenty of political and social freedom but the government should aggressively promote right-thinking behavior to ensure they vote for the right things.
That just might be one of the typical Enlightenment pitfalls (believing and enforcing the Big Telos Progress). Kant is like that too, IIRC. Kinda hard to defend nowadays.

I'm still googling the Sane Society. That's one of the books you were thinking of, right? What else? I don't know anything about him.

Most of the Franks' works were critiques of the Enlightenment philosophy.

Those two books, The Sane Society and Escape from Freedom, are the two books of his that are important for a discussion of sociology. He has some works on psychoanalysis too, and an existentialist analysis of Marx called "Marx's Concept of Man," but they aren't especially relevant here and I haven't read them myself anyway. Politically he supported the anti-war movement and got on the detente ship earlier than even a lot of other humanist philosophers, and was a prominent member of the US Socialist Party through the 50's and 60's.

He isn't really considered a major figure outside of some technical innovations in psychology. That was enough to get him a position at Columbia University, but his talent for being noticed by more well-known people is the main reason he's remembered today as well as he is.

Adorno was only half jewish. His mother was a devout catholic corsican

So he wasn't even Jewish by Jew standards?

Why won't the Jews allow Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn's last book to be translated into English, a book he spent 10 years on to show the connection of the Jews in Bolshevism & Russian history?

Bump

He disproves the Jewish Bolshevism myth in the book though as "the superstitious faith in the historical potency of conspiracies".

pol reeeee

What do you mean "won't allow"? Do you think that if you tried to translate it into English and distribute it, people would show up at your door to stop you? Translating the book wouldn't be illegal anywhere, as far as I know.

They were anti-jazz

>"Hurr durr let's analyze Fascism with psychoanalysis instead of historical materialism"
>"""Marxists"""
