I did it in the past, but it wasn't related to my sense of purpose, I am more intelligent than having to have a purpose to do things.

My only reward in loosing weight would be my mother being happy about it.

years ago i tried to get into med school, but i too had a shit attitude, which was also reflected by my study skills, so naturally i failed to get in. i decided to work for a while to figure out what to do next. next year i started studying biomed, and allthough i had a rough start, my grades started to improve more and more. came pretty close to graduating cum laude actually, afterwards i got into med school easily, next year i'll be doing internships.
