FUCKING BITTREX CHANGED MY WITHDRAWAL LIMIT TO 0.025BTC!

They now force me to do basic verification or get assraped in withdrawal fees.
Can I simply put false verification information in bittrex? I dont want them to link my identity to Bittrex.

Any thoughts?

You didn't think you could actually withdraw your paper profits did you user?

Convert to whichever altcoin has the cheapest withdrawal fees?

Over what period of time can you only withdraw 0.025?

Daily

Whats the problem then?

Yeah I just noticd this too OP

Fucking cheeky breekis didn't even warn us

Only 0.025 BTC per day unless you sign up for 2fa

Daily, they changed it recently from 1 btc.
I think this might have to do with the BTC split situation. IRS probably wants a cut.
I never had to file any personal information.
Now they are asking for street address and personal information.

I use poloniex for day trading and bittrex for some long positions.
This does make me change my my mind about bittrex.

I should start using decentralized exchanges.

This is false, I have 2fa activated.
They want your information.
Also, I hate the fact that they didnt warn me in advance.

1. time it takes to withdraw a large amount of BTC
2. withdrawal fees

>unless you sign up for 2fa
No, unless you provide your name and address and last 4 digits of social security number.
I have 2fa and the limit is still 0.025 BTC per day.

Maybe they are worried about a BCC bank run?

Sneaky fuckers didn't even warn anybody

obviously poloniex is feeling the ground shaking because users know it's the end.
get everything you can out. they're going down.

looks like they lured people. with free bch split.... to assrape them.

Yeah thats probably the reason

Yeah, I actually used to defend bittrex before this, considering them to be the most reputable exchange out there.
Fuck this shit though.

>poloniex slowly but surely dying
>bittrex holding coins hostage for personal information
Where do we go now?

i mean 0.025 withdraw limit.
0.001 is withdraw fee.
such an assholes.

thanks just withdrew 100k

Dick move indeed.
Just checked , guess I already gave up my privacy . 100BTC daily limit

>IRS probably wants a cut.

Transferring money off an exchange isn't taxable. You have to literally convert it to fiat before it can be taxed.

Considering how small the crypto industry currently is in the big picture, you'd have to be retarded to think the IRS is pulling off NSA-tier operations to catch the small fraction of the market that's being cashed out in the US without being reported. Even if they were, monitoring Bittrex sure as hell isn't going to help them.

>not having a legacy account
wew

Just throwing this out there because maybe it could be useful for someone else. I did it
.
dunno where to go, but you can check the rate of doge coins on different exchanges or some other coin, find one as close to the other as possible or buy and wait, buy doges with btc from one exchange, move the dogs into the other exchange and sell for btc.
Doge transaction times are reasonably fast and what you lose is arbitrage is worth less than what you would lose transfering the btcs out of the exchange. i think 900 doges transfered was like 2 doges in fees, moving a btc instead of doge would cost more than the amount i transfered in the first place.

It would take me a lot of days to transfer my 1 btc worth though. 40 days also 40 times fees.

Photoshop your numbers.

I just told you, you need to find and exchange that will let you cash out and also sells a coin you can convert to before converting back

.find exchange that wont bust your dick
.check prices of coin your converting to on both exchanges (in my case doge)
.Convert 1 btc on bittrex into doge
,send doge to new exchange for a low fee
.cash out dog for 1 btc
.remove btc without being raped *

* I can't tell you any exchange that wouldnt fee rape you, i havent looked hard enough.

Its not about withdrawal fees.
Its about the fact that I can only withdraw 0.025 BTC worth of coins daily.

If I were to change my coins to doge it would still take me 40 days.

Poorfag spotted

Bittrex?
More like get rekt

Does Ethereum or Litecoin have cheap withdrawal fees? Give it a shot, some other altcoin should be a workaround, no?

Jaxx wallet you nigger then local bitcoins for cash

I dont think you guys understand what a withdrawal limit means.

Yes, it's going to take 40 days, no way around that.

Giving them fake info is probably not a good idea if the account is already linked to your real IP or bitcoin addresses that you use for other things.

what the fuck ?? is it going to stay like this ?

Only affects newfags :^)
My unverified legacy account still has a daily "limit" of 1337 BTC :^)

i'm tired of this shit

guess it's time to actually start holding my own coins

This happened to me. I went in the bittrex support slack channel and one of the guys fixed it for me. You just have to create a ticket beforehand and give him your ticket number.

god damn bittrex this sucks. 0.025 BTC is practically nothing, lmao.

Wait seriously?
So it's a bug?

>hurr durr crypto protect my privacy
>ahhh why won't they give me my fiat back so everyone can track my money

withdrawing crypto has nothing to do with fiat, fool. hopefully this is only temporary and related to the bitcoin drama.

oh, that kind of withdrawal.

HAHAHA that's even better
Bittrex just admitted they don't actually hold the bitcoin you're sending.
Have fun paying fees back and forth and on every trade so they can invest your bitcoin and potentially lose it all :^)

They will probably adjust this later on, if they do not it will give rise to more decentralized exchanges.

They would be giving up their monopoly, at the moment bittrex and others are popular because they are fast and an easy way to trade crypto

If the IRS meddles to much trying to get a piece of the cake you'll wind up with a decentralized 0 regulated exchange which would make matters worse for them.

I do hope the IRS continues to push for stupid shit like this so we get truly decentralized exchange.

>0.001 on 0.025 max withdrawals

so basically bittrex is holding 4% of my coins hostage unless i send them id ?

If you plan on withdrawing in BTC, yes.

Yes.

Google KYC and AML

that's about 0.75 BTC / month.
Not bad.

that's about 0.72 BTC/month after paying 30 withdraw fees and withdrawing 0.025 daily.
