The flag of the Slovene nation was (and still is, but this is less known) a simple white-blue-red tricolour and there was a chance we could've used it for our country flag before Russia could use it. Unfortunately, we went with a very sad-looking coat of arms instead.
I like this alternative flag which features the Carniolan eagle. Some have expressed the opinion that this is not universal enough but the Duchy of Carniola was for a very long time the main region of Slovenia and Carniolan was synonymous with Slovene before nationalism.

Poland.
Adding crown to the eagle was an improvement from that soulless commie version but the eagle himself could look better.

In general, fascist flags are the best, but these two are pretty bad. The monarchist flags are the best ones here (I hate tricolours).

There was still protestants in the South and Irish nationalism has rarely been divided on religious grounds, many famous and venerated nationalist icons were protestants.
