Who here started out with ~$500 invested in cryptos and is now in the thousands?

Who here started out with ~$500 invested in cryptos and is now in the thousands?

Me.

Started with ~$700, now sitting at $9k

All with bitcoin

Started in late May with $500 on the nose. Now at $2300 with minimal effort.

always remember to set stops and take profits. dont get cucked by your greed newfags...

I started with 250 last month and I'm now at 700, I'm confident I can make it to the thousands.

Started at 500 last week, I'm now at 650.

Hard to believe this shit isn't a bubble, but then again, I spend 500 bucks on going out on some weekends.

I feel bad for the poorfags here who will lose everything if this shit crashes.

faucet dust to 100k in 3 months

started with $400 2 days ago, currently over $1000.

Any tips?

900 EUR to 9100 EUR in 2 months. Traded big coins; with PAY and VIA doing me great 10%s every week or so.

I also have some long terms and I'm invovled in Tierion too atm, so we'll how that goes.

Yeah, hold literally anything during that massive bull run a few months ago

What did ye do to get those increases?

I had bout €550 put in a few months back, up to €980 today, but feel I should be doing a lot better.
Then I really dont pay much attention to whats the going on

I started in March with about $2500 and it's now close to $10,000.

What the fuck did you buy\trade?

Signatum and Omisego. With the former you could have made 4x your money two times if you were careful but I fucked up.

I bought $500 of ETH when it was $11.50. I sold it for $20 and thought I was a genius.

Then I invested $20k when it was ~$100 over a few buys.

This and play a better defense rather than focusing on offense.

How is it best to diversify your portfolio?

Is it sound to invest $500 in 4 different coins and then revisit in a month to see which has the most gains?

Buy promising coins.....? Not sure what you want to hear. I can recommend you certain coins if you'd like, but I'll look like a shill and of course some will disagree and others will agree.

Also just hold until the price goes above what you bought it for.

Signatum. Sold near top of yesterday's pump, bought at bottom of dump. Sitting at 8600 coins right now waiting for the next PnD to repeat.

Safest way is do research on the ANNs and on slacks/telegrams etc. Aim to a downtrending coin at its floor - if you don't know where that is, dollar cost average your way in.

Also be careful when the rush sets in on a coin that has gone 20% plus. If its really high volume yeah you may be able to wait it out, but if its a mid volume coin you better watch it and if its low volume take your gains and dont look back.

In all honesty holding and buying dips every 3 weeks will give you decent success. Also there's nothing with holding fiat for a bit if you dont know what to get involved in.

Also, do not share any information you found super early. I made great gains off SIGT because I found about it about a day or two before the threads started posting on biz. Everyone has an agenda for the most part, I only recommend coins I'm holding or do not care about.

I started with $6400 and reached a high of over a million USD. Right now it's about $820,000.

Thank you, guys.

Another thing that a lot of really new people miss is whether or not you hold Bitcoin, you should be watching its chart regularly. I recommend having a a nice chunk in it anyways but even if you don't you should know what it's up to.

me

I started with $10k and I'm currently at like $550k.

Same boat man, I just started 3 days ago with 650 already at 770. I feel dumb never getting into this early. My friend told me to get into it when btc collapsed to $200,should have.
Paper walleted my BTC for some BCC, most of my gains are coming from Zcash, Ardor, and NEO.

Yeah, ive seen the names but hadnt looked in to it, I think its a case of you get what you put in to it so with a little more reading on my part Im sure I could improve

Yeah, i was wondering what coins you had used for your increases, not looking to hop on your bandwagon, but just looking at whats worked for people so far may help me spot what is going to rise some time in the future.

I had got in on the Antshares and sold the other day at about 515, more than what I bought for but less than what it achieved obviously, but I was patient and bought back in about 460 or so, so profit is there, its just small.
But I had a plan and stuck with it and it paid off which is nice.

impressive

started 2 weeks ago with 6k up 2k

Where are the proofs lads. Hard to believe these kinds of wild claims and I'm sure everyone is curious what you guys bought to get you there

What program did you guys use to get started?
I want to try Coinbase but I don't want to pay a fee every time

I have a lot of alts, so I don't really feel like going through the trouble of proving I hold the whole $550k, but I do hold about 80 BTC in a wallet I could sign a message with and prove I own that at least. But really, it shouldn't be that hard to believe without any time frame limitations. I started with crypto in 2013, so it's not like I've made all this money by being a god at trading during this bull rally or anything.

>I'm sure everyone is curious what you guys bought to get you there
BTC back in the day, but massive gains this year from alts. Most of it from ETH, ANS/NEO and UBQ.

I bought a miner to mine ethereum in Feb 2016.

By August I mined about 170 ether.

Got very pissed off at the price, and sold off my equipment for half its value in October 2016.

Didn't sell ether, because I thought about George Costanza, and said to myself, I don't really need all my money back so I will just go down with the ship.

sold at around 180, because I'm retarded. Still sitting on 20k.

My $800 turned into 50k in May and June but I didn't sell so now I'm at a total of 15k with 4k invested

Oh, and here's the deposit history on Bitstamp. It adds up to about €8k in 2013. The later €6k in 2015 were withdrawn again not too long after I put it in because I changed my mind and instead took out some of my crypto money to pay down the rest of my student loan. Out of curiosity, I just checked how much I had withdrawn over the years, and it all added up to just over $35k. So yeah, I haven't really withdrawn much compared to how much I hold at the moment, but I plan to withdraw enough to buy myself a cheap apartment once this bull rally starts stalling.

I started with $70. Currently at 1.3k

just get in with coinbase, it's going to be hard to beat 2% on fiat -> crypto, and never exchange your crypto for fiat

I'm
Started out with 50 eurobucks, 1.5 btc now

I started with 1 cent last night. I'm now a millionaire all thanks to Neo.

I started with $.63 yesterday and I already have 47trillion, get on my level fags

I started in June with £500, I took out £250 last month and £750 this month and have just over £1000 of coins in my bittrex account.

Started with £400 in february

Damn, that's impressive.

Have you received the dividend from DICE?

Started with 208 and about a month later I'm at 2300.

Feels good, profits on small trades just keep rising

Started just trying to learn with about $300; up to 3.1k with mostly SAFEX.

how?

i started with $500 invested in cryptos and i'm still waiting to break even

Invested 50 USD in ETH in december 2016 like a fucking idiot. I had the money to invest 500 USD but pussied out

What did you invest in. I'm an 18 yr old poorfag noob here, willing to invest $300 before I go to the Marines. Any tips?

You should probably actually have an idea of how to invest before you start investing rather than just asking retards on Veeky Forums

Don't go to the marines

join the sigtmarines instead

Started with $1200 in 2016, now I'm here (pic related).

Guess I can study up a bit, really only here because everyone is freaking out on /pol/ about BTC.

i went in with $100 and didn't look at it at all, then tried to cash out at $400 but didn't figure out how. i dont even know how much i have now

Took me two month and a lot of set backs but j trippled now

Would be at 10k but my newbieness prevented this from happening

Started with 60 late December and at 800 now. Was at 1300 but didn't sell during the dip in June.

I bought $250 worth of DGB and ended up cashing out $6000. I was pretty stoked.

fuck it's at 1200 now
kill me bros

Started at £10k, just before the recent bear run. Went down to £6k. Now up to £12k

I'm not sure whether to just hodl or sell when I -think- the price is high. Knowing me I'd sell before a new floor

'bout $3000 in - currently at $4200.

Really fucked up the last week, spent most of my time in tether instead of in ANS/ETH/OMG which were my 3 main coins I got some gains in.

Bought a few thousand bitcoin in 2011 for lols.
I reformatted my old laptop a while ago. I still have the computer, but it's long gone.

100 USD in Ark early July. They've become 170. Should be happy, yet I feel I didn't do well enough.

started with $100 in March, now at $1k

feels good man

You idiot...

started with 5kEUR now at 30kEUR. Only holding Bitcoin at the moment.

$100 on June 13th to 17k right now.

How did you managed to get that early into NEO/ETH/UBQ? Just a wild guess or you did some fundamental analysis (if so, then what you looked at back then?)?

Started with $500 last year just got back to 10k had a high of 12k. I was mostly being safe and just holding. Now I feel I have enough to be more aggressive and know more to trade smarter

Started with $1000 in March, now sitting on ~$24,000 by just holding NEM alone.

I started 3 weeks ago and made x2.5 with neo.

And the fact that it's an existing blockchains with a Java like VM, with C# and in the future Python support, and with the first ICO announced today, means that there's no way it won't pass ETC and BCH when it dies, meaning it will climb to 45$ and sit there till the overall market cap rises.

... How?

If he got in early in Qtum, it could check out.
If he sells some SNT once they release the app, he could realize some gains.

Lol white people are either gross or useless.

>June 13th
Lol history or fuck off. June was the month where everything was crashing horribly.

Started with 775 now at 1100. Could be doing better

700 to 3 grand. Hodl

I started with 150 and now I'm at 500

Thanks ARK and NEO

lots of poorfags here, now I know why I don't listen to biz you guys are all kids playing with peanuts. I started with 5k in January and I'm at 60k

I started with $20,000 and now have $130,000.
Thanks for going up like that, BTC

$200 to 14k here

t. guy with 1200 € in bitcoin wanting to sell it all

started with 500 now at 100k

no larping. started in 2013

Started from 300 dollars, now 700 dollars. Should have hodl instead of day trading

>$2,500
>Now at 5k

Technically $5,636, but I just put another $500 in so...

Breddy good for my first couple months.

I think this guy wins.
Now turn it into a million

I didn't get into ETH that early, actually. I'm still kicking myself for being so skeptical about it, as I did consider buying some at $7 but never did. After doing a lot of research and liking what I saw, I ended up entering at about $40 after it consolidated around the $40-$50 range for a while. I did end up selling a bit too early, as I underestimated how much ICOs would drive prices up, but I still made a ton on it.

As for Ubiq, I noticed people on Twitter started talking about it, and with ETH going insane at the time I figured putting some into a fork that was clearly gaining traction (it was already going up when I discovered it) wouldn't be a bad idea. After confirming the devs seemed legit and whatnot, I put a decent amount of my ETH gains on it. I watched the charts pretty religiously for a while and traded the swings pretty successfully too.

I first came across AntShares when it was already mooning and Veeky Forums was all over it. I didn't get in, as it looked like it was too late, but I saw it as a great opportunity to trade the swings, as it had really good liquidity. After things calmed down, I started keeping up with news about the rebranding and everything, so I took the opportunity to buy every dip in preparation for it. Needless to say, it turned out to be an amazing investment.

TL;DR: Didn't really get in early. Didn't FOMO. Did research.

Bitstamp.
Yes.
Yes.

Long term gains = easy.
Day trading gains = hard.
Watch the graphs and wait for a coin to go low, then place a sell order at a price you think is reasonable and log out.
Come back in 6 months it'll probably have gone through.

On any exchange. In Europe, SEPA bank transfers in Kraken.

You must report gains on every short term* transaction. If you buy 1 ETH for 200€ and exchange it 1 week later, when it's risen to 220€, to get some LTC, then you got 10% more LTC than you would otherwise have and you gotta report 20€ speculation gains on your yearly tax report. That means they'll take 5€ to 8€ of those 20€.
In practice, though, kids here don't even know how to fill a tax form.

*if you hold it for a year, many country will count it as non-taxable. You still gotta report your gains with your yearly income, though.

>in bitcoin wanting to sell it all
that's retarded

thanks for replying.

how do taxes work here? I'm not talking about small fess you have to pay.

I'm talking about declaring this earnings to the government like you do when you have a real job.

Not shown is about $250 worth of DAO Casino

Other than ETH, I don't hold (anymore) any of the coins that brought me up to 14k. (pivx, POSW, bitbay, bitbean, chaincoin, and Strat)

It varies from country to country, so you need to look up how your country deals with crypto taxes.

yeah i live in Europe, but i'm still a student.

so i would have to declare this.
