Yugoslav wars weren't religious wars and Bosniaks were the biggest victims of the war with some 65,000 dead (half of it civilians) as opposed to the 24,000 dead Croats and 33,000 dead Serbs. And Bosniaks are the least numerous group among the three. They didn't even end up with a functional state but some divided federal hellhole half of which is Republika Srpska.
