It seems that most leftists today (in the US at least) are far more concerned with social justice than economics. Traditional leftism pretty much never recovered from the Red Scare, so our left kind of rebuilt itself out of the civil rights movement. A lot of them do consider capitalism unjust, but in contrast to what I understand to be the traditional Marxist view, their opposition to capitalism is largely based on the notion that it is wielded as a weapon by elites with socially regressive attitudes. America's sort of leftists would probably be fine with a reformed capitalism, with some degree of progressive taxation, welfare, and anti-discrimination laws, but they'd have a much bigger issue with racial segregation or opposition of women's rights.

I fell for nat-soc for a month or so and quickly snapped out of it, started watching some Shapiro which led me to paleoconservatism/paleolibertarianism. About where I am now except I don't watch him anymore. I was full on /pol/ until about three or four months ago when I came to Veeky Forums to shitpost, that's when I realized that 1) Holocaust happened, 2) jews control everything is as retarded as the shit lefties spew, and 3) instead of going on and on about how you need to preserve your heritage except the jew is holding you down similar to niggers claiming egypt and whitey not letting them you should actually start taking interest in things like guns, working out and different cultures (which is why I also now browse the respective boards for that stuff)

What really made me leave in the end was the fascism and the fact that you couldn't tell who was joking and who was serious

As for the "month or so of believing in fascism" thing, I didn't understand politics too well and bought into their lies. They made it seem like it solved all problems. I completely forgot about everything I was taught for my entire life, and as an American it's a great shame I have to deal with and a reminder of my humanity/inherent stupidity.
