Darwinism and Its Effects on Society

Has Darwin's hypothesis of the world's, life's, and man's origins affected our society? If so, is it a beneficial or detrimental effect?

There you go again, you useless creationist, conflating "is" with "ought".

All creationists should be sent to the gulag.

>there is no God
>there are no absolutes
>there are no human rights
>there is no reason not to enslave or extinguish another race on account of our supposed "superiority"
>there is no reason to act human, for "humanity" does not exist
Great logic there, champ.

>there are no human rights
social contract: I'm better off living where people don't steal from me or murder me so I agree to live in a society that punishes these actions.
>there is no reason not to enslave or extinguish another race on account of our supposed "superiority"
and there's no reason to do so unless you add on an ideology that promotes this
>there is no reason to act human, for "humanity" does not exist
wtf did you mean by this?

If man believes himself to be an animal, he will act like an animal.

>Effects on Society

there isn't one certain way that animals act. some animals are solitary, others work in communities. we are a specific type of animal and have our own social behavior. there's no reason that I ought to act like a chimp or a goldfish just because we're both "animals"

But why not? No absolutes, remember?

In the end, it made our lives better and much more meaningful than before. I am glad for all of his hard work.

again, social contract: I don't want to live in a chaotic shit hole where I am likely to be raped, murdered, and have my possessions stolen so I agree to submit myself to laws against these actions that my community also has to abide by, since it is in our collective interest.

Oh good, so humans should disavow warfare, greed, lust, and pride any day now?

>collective interest
What happens when cannibalism or pedophila become the subject of "collective interest?"

They are the result of sin, not a primate ancestry.

> What happens when cannibalism or pedophila become the subject of "collective interest?"
People engage in them responsibly and no without pressuring reason i.e. that one time where bunch of people without any food was forced into cannibalize one of their members to survive.

The Darwinist sexual free market is literally destabilizing western societies.

So you want the actual effects or you want to prove a creationist point?

t. sexosocialist

>there is no God
Okay sure.
>there are no absolutes
Non-sequitur.
>there is no human rights
Non-sequitur.
>there is no reason not to enslave or extinguish another race on account of our supposed "superiority"
Non-sequitur.
>there is no reason to act human, for "humanity" does not exist
Non-sequitur.

Even the first one is non sequitur.

>/pol/ is the niggest of the nigs
kek

But what determines necessity? What if you say it's necessary, but you nust want to do it to sate your psychopathic tendencies?

Yes, Darwinism had an adverse impact on Communism and National Socialism.

Implying Darwin's theories don't just discredit Jews as a people rather than discrediting gods....

Its funny that when a man denies being an animal, everyone looks at him like he's less than one.
Right, the historically stable Western societies.

Darwinism is secular gnosticism. It's a creation myth to suit our times, no different than the Greeks or Scandinavians.

>Its funny that when a man denies being an animal, everyone looks at him like he's less than one.
You'd be surprised what a few years of brainwashing the masses can do.

We need to separate "social darwinist"-tie philosophy and science. Evolution as a scientific theory is a fact for all intents and purposes. What the philosophical and spiritual ramifications are of it is a whole different discussion. I personally more align with metaphysical understanding of God. The same Spirit that many of the church fathers reached communion with, the Hindu Brahman, the God that Sufis seek and so on. Far from atheism, evolution speaks to a much more beautiful and abstract God in my eyes.
