For 1212 how historically accurate is this map? (Countries within the thick black borders represent vassals)

No map at such scale can represent the complexity of feudal links

Its badly represented and CA should had released map mod tools.
>Most of Arabia should be wasteland.
>west Africa is missing(CA fault for not releasing mod map tools)
>most of Scandinavia and Russia is missing
>no India

Where is this from? Did CA announced something new or is it a fake?

It's a mod.

Is it any good?

>Ireland
There were several independent Kingdoms in Ireland at the time, not to mention a small Norman presence on the east coast.

What is CA?

Creative Assembly, the guys who make total war games.

Frisia seems to cover most of the Netherlands above the Rhine and goes far into Germany.

In reality Frisia was only a small part in the Northern Netherlands, the rest consisted of the County of Holland, Zeeland, Cleve, the bishopric of Utrecht, the duchy of Guelders and a a few others which I don't remember.

In importance I wouldn't even think Frisia was of much importance compared to the Bishop of Utrecht, Count of Holland or duke of Guelders.

cancer/10 in the case of Spain

Campaign isn't released yet, but the battles are epic as fuck

Interesting, were the irish kingdoms relatively strong or weak for their time? Compared to the British ones?

Borders gave me cancer but whatever
All of the black sea coast that was assigned to Alania should be Georgian, shirvan should be more south. North part of shirvan should be khundzia or be assigned to alania, at least. Trenton should be georgian vassal or protectorate.

*trebzond
Also, trebzond should rule only southern parts of crimea.

Why does CA even bother with strategic campaign shit and doesn't focus exclusively only on battles? Seriously even Paracuck games blow the TW mapmode out of the water so hard it's not even funny, it's shitty, inaccurate and not even enjoyable. Unlike the battles.

>Silesia consists of Silesia and Greater Poland
>Pomerania is called Greater Poland
>Pomerelia is called Pomerania
>Teutonic Order isn't even in Prussia, but in Livonia, which was under control of completely different Order

It's quite a complicated setup. There were generally two very powerful kingdoms (what those kingdoms were in particular depends on the time period) ruled by prominent dynasties who acted as hegemons and the rest allied themselves with those two variously. Occasionally one very powerful King would rise up and exert control over the whole island, and they would be called the Ard Rí, or High King. The Uí Néill Dynasty was probably the most consistently powerful but they had their weaker moments too.

When one of the more powerful kingdoms seized control, like Munster towards the beginning of the 11th century, their power was probably comparable to any other kingdom of the period, but more generally Irish kingdoms were more like lesser fiefdoms in other countries.

This isn't CA this is a mod team

For any who care enough, share your critiques on this thread, maybe they'll correct any historical inaccuracies twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?707162-Medieval-Kingdoms-Total-War-Campaign-Map-Master-Thread

Well for one Flanders is a vassal of France and not the HRE.

>he doesn't enjoy slowly building up the realm to declare the Barcas KANGZ of Africa whilst puppet states ensure the markets of Italy Greece and Iberia stay open

>implying the livonians weren't a sister branch of the Teutons

I'm pretty sure Jerusalem isn't in Jerusalem
Also English power should be far greater so baronial realm should be non existent really
Also
>Ireland
Of course paradox has better maps because they have the worst battles ever

Very little
That Bologna is the funniest thing tho

While the two Orders later united, they weren't one at the time yet.

At this time the kingdom of Jerusalem didn't actually hold Jerusalem. Ironic isn't it?

The battles are braindead boring too, why not just make a series of battle videos and post them on youtube?
