Tell Hitler not getting into art school is not the end of the world.

>nigerian civil war

youtube.com/watch?v=-UlfP9YrGgs

Those white mercenaries seemed like pretty cool guys, they probably wouldn't have much use for me though. Depending on which side I get dropped in on i'd probably try to help out people in the famine areas assuming I survived long enough to get my bearings.

Do books count?

I just watched the film adaptation of "A bridge too far" isn't really a documentary but if that counts I'm fucked.I'm American though so I should be alright.

Recommend me some history documentaries please Veeky Forums.
Preferably your personal favourites.

>Stalingrad, 1943
FUBAR

san francisco-1962, escaping from alcatraz

Fuck yeah. I get to be a student fighting against the Japanese government kicking out peoples to build the Narita Airport. This was literal war, which lasted years. The govt tried to kick out the people whom had been living on the la nd since for ever to build their airport, but they weren't having it and fought for about 10 years. The doco is heavily biased on the side of the protesters and follows someone who filmed the whole events I think it covers about a decade of events.

>At the time, the socialist movement still possessed considerable strength in Japan, evidenced by the large-scale student riots in Tokyo in 1960.[12] Many in the "new left" such as Chukaku-ha opposed the construction of Narita Airport, reasoning that the real purpose for the new airport was to promote capitalism and to provide additional facilities for US military aircraft in the event of war with the Soviet Union. These individuals sought to ally with the more conservative local farmers who simply did not want to give up their land for the airport.[13]

I'm not sure about this.

Could be worse.

It's 1996 rush's america

One of the comments mentioned "The World At War", is that documentary truly worth my time, or is it just propaganda like what some comments say?

>Iraq 2003

Auschwitz

World War 1 on Italy's side, FML

Is the civil war in the Central African Republic already historical? If yes I'm dead because I'm white and I guess although they're christians and muslims fighting they don't like atheists...

If that's not historical enough I don't remember the last documentary about a conflict I saw but I read stuff about the Contra war in Nicaragua (because I saw "Kill the Messenger").

i'm an italian in 1914. in less than a year we will be shooting each other.

FVCK

The doco's?

They are only about the fight, not really about ideologies and reasoning. It's about the struggle, the rioting, how they went about fighting the government, not so much why.

3 part doco. Called either SUmmer in Narita or Sanrizuka.

>watching the Great War
>now stuck as an Austro-Hungarian conscript in Serbia

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

Gaugamela.

>Late Qing Dynasty
>bloated, corrupt, economically contracting, and on the verge of repeated humiliations from foreign powers thanks to a totally out of touch ruling class run by one of history's worst leaders who forces everyone to get the same stupid haircut.

fuck

Look on the bright side, you were born after the Antonine Plague, which almost surely would have killed you.

Plus you've got like, a solid 40 years of the Roman military occupying the government under the Severans before things really go to shit. In fact you'd probably find living under the Severans pretty rough because they flat out treated soldiers like the privileged class and everyone else like subordinates, so if a gang of soldiers broke into your house, raped your daughter, and made off with a bunch of valuables, the courts probably didn't want to listen to you bitching about it.

Your best bet would be to get the fuck out of Rome. Go live in North Africa which will remain relatively peaceful until long after you're dead.

Nah mate you're good, as long as you're not a commie.
t. South African

But unless I'm thinking of the wrong explorer, he managed to get his entire crew through the ordeal alive, didn't he?

youtu.be/nLIF7nqqNtk

1980s South Africa, specifically about Afrikaner communities.

A little tense, but could be a lot of fun, to be quite honest.

>Russia,1917
I'm honestly not sure what to do

Uh...I'll rather stay with the Congo. Atleast i can pretend i'm a businessman with my chink skin and all.

>1913
>great marsian war

Petrograd 1917
Fug.

I haven't watched a documentary since i was like 12 and learned to read like a fucking adult.

Last book i read though was about brink of 17th century Gold Coast.

I think i'd be pretty okay, if i could get to one of the European trading forts and recruit myself as sailor

I don't remember what the last documentary I watched was. But if books count, I'm now stuck in pre-Roman Italy.

Fuck.

Second summer of love, the doco started on the lead in a few years ahead so I'll get myself a 303 before the rush, might try and get in on some yba action, ape mark leckey a bit
