Was given this in my Ancient European languages class by a fellow student. I can't find what language it is or even decode it from any derivative of English.

I don't know if it's a joke or not, but any help would be appreciated because he won't talk about it.

well you know the first two "words" are your name, and you know the last "word" is his name, so start from there

I think it says fvavdo kdoarod, and the first line is cdohl vaah ohr dalav
I'll decode the rest later

I tried my name, and his name, but neither work because some letters repeat. The only thing I've somewhat gotten to work is "hello" for the first word. But the last symbol/letter is weird in that sense. (Unless the third and fourth letters are actually one letter..)

No, wait... Hello wouldn't work at all

There's lambda's and theta's from attic/ionic greek in that. That's all I can tell

What does that mean??

Kinda looks like Phoenician

>he doesn't know
t. brainlet

Thanks for even that :/

Some of that actually looks like te symbols on here

Could it be a mix of languages?

You said ancient European so maybe Etruscan?

Looks like archaic Greek or one of the many Old Italic alphabets.

None of those look like any of these :/
I hate the class, though. So I don't know much. I spend most of my time slacking off

I'm certain if you care enough you'll figure it out. Why waste the money on a class that puts you to sleep?

Old and gold?

Because I was told it's an easy class for an easy A. So far it's true, I don't do shit.

That looks right, but then what could everything else be when you distribute?

en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_languages_by_first_written_accounts

Look up which letters it has using these links

If you find the upside down V with three prongs you'll probably find the language

Are you in Europe? If so then it's probably part of an initiative to get Eurocucks interested in their heritage.

The Greek alphabet is derived from phoenician. Phoenician would be written right to left or down.

I hope you spend all night trying to figure it out and then he tells you he made it up and it doesn't mean anything.

That 2nd word in the 5th line of the body sure looks like someone cutting off parts of letters to write Dominion.

That's what I'm afraid of

Shit, it does. Can you go off of that? I still think it's euro based though

Then it's not Greek, huh?

Nah
US born and raised
Just want easy college

looks like ancient greek but its not, maybe some kinda pre form? idk not well versed in languages at all

Neither am I :/

Should I text him and ask him to at least give a hint?

My 1 cents:
Last word: ciao

He's letting me have one question

What should I ask

yeahs its just english using different letter but same spelling

Whether the language, not the script is Italic or not.

I'm rather sure it's greek

But it doesn't look English?

How did you know??

oh, I didn't read that right

The script looks like some kind of Old Italic alphabet but if it's not English it could be anything from Celtic to Tyrsenian.

Im not good at this stuff
Do you think you guys can figure it out

try "Told, instead of "gold", then the previous word could be "GOD".. >"god told"

and then, after "got told", the 3rd word could be "got" - we have a few letters already

* gEt, maybe..

I'm thinking that the second word in the first line might be "adorned"

it's a code, not a completely different language.

Is it just me or is that a onion. at the end?

Maybe an onion address in the code?

it looks like a mixture of different writing systems.

just you.

So the only obvious period in the page is next to a word that looks like onion. Ok

if that's the case, what about what user said about it looking like dominion?

Looks like, but too many characters to be 'onion'.
& it's not an obvious period by any means. Earlier there's a mark that looks like a comma, but is not. They're both accentuation marks, same character as when it's earlier used but pronounced slightly differently.

>dominion
You can't look at them as though they were english letters.

OP, ask your guy if it has anything to do w the bible

combining the n abd I looking symbols close together it spells out onion perfectally

True

Even combining those, it's still 6 characters, while the word 'onion' is 5. Also, stop reading them like english words because they look similar to one.

ask if he wrote his name

...

guys
One question left and that's all

Ask him if the period & comma/down arrow looking things are punctuation or pronunciation marks (like an umlaut).

ask him about onions and see what he says,

there is an onion address in the code man

It resembles this.

...

dude weed lmao

Oh I see, he's retarded.

Tell us what your name is, first and last. That is the only way we can help you. I believe the word at the top may be your name, and then a "comma".

>second last word: kids
>He's a pedo
You blew his cover and not his dick OP.
Call the cops and stay strong, vigilant and above all yourself.

He has ripped a number of letters from ancient languages and put them over English. He said so in the text.

...

OP does your name have any sounds in it that are two letters? Such as "th", "sh", or "ch"? He might have combined these sounds into one letter.

no

REEEE
E
E

fucking told you mate.

Ask him for the key to his pigpen variant cipher.

that was the last question he said he'd answer

You'll lose his respect if you try to ask any more.

That's what I was thinking

FFS
Veeky Forums has a poster under /x/-iq level

OP
1) Write all the different symbols down and count them.
2) figure out the e

The > and < and the triangles might not be letters

>Nah, I'm not gonna do your basic work, upload photo of your work

Did the bells toll?
It was midnight,
Now it's not.

...

It's hotter than the day the camel described as a hot sunday, he was sweating balls on his back, though he usually had one, he needed to see a doctor but the efffects it had on his orgasms made he wait, maybe too long.

What's going on?

Well in central US time, its 9 minutes after

For me too.

He copy/pasted a website or document

It's Poe.

Edgar Allan Poe, The Bells, part 4

I know that, but why?

Either it has to do with this cypher, or he's a bit off kilter. Guessing the former.

Wait hold on
He gave me a book of poes poems

Either hes disappointed that you cant figure it out or hes going to bed.

Okay summary so far:
OP made no attempt at cracking it
so so we can conclude:
OP is a retard
OP is a retard and invited by pedos
OP is a retard and invited by goths
OP is LARPING

>One of these things is worse than the others

Cringe.

OP just report him for threatening you or something, guy's most likely a weirdo and will get his just comeuppance

This seems more a challenge among mates taking similar courses than a stalking.

...

Others are saying it's Poe that he wrote in the text.
Poe wrote a short story with a cryptology problem in it. The story is the Gold Bug. Check it out, it may help.

Also your friend seems like massive Fedora faggot.

>Was given this in my Ancient European languages class
So... more a weirdo than someone taking a dead languages course to begin with?
Just wondering where the bar for "weirdness out of the norm" is here.

Look how formal his messages are. Clearly acquaintances at best.

I have tried to figure it out
But I'm not good at this stuff

Ok, that midbook note is fucking off. Really off.

It's an easy A

See
He's LARPing as some sort of secret society hack

>some sort of secret society hack
Or future cult leader.
Or Lovecraftian type of faggot.
Beware, OP; that fucking note in the book is disturbing combined with this cypher.
