Tommy Franks maybe?

Where the FUCK is Longstreet

>Tommy Franks
>Longstreet
Literally who?

MacArthur was a coward. Pershing or Stormin Norman should replace on list.

>Literally who
The best Confederate general

Good one I actually chuckled at this meme

Tommy Franks led the Invasion of Iraq, which tbqh is the paragon of how to invade another country.

Fuck MacArthur. His mishandling of the Korean war was BEYOND negligent. Don't give him credit for the island hopping strategy either. You can thank Rear Admiral Raymond Perry Rodgers who proposed the strategy decades before WWII.

Not an argument.

>Scott or Eisenhower that low
>William Sherman, Forrest, or Longstreet top 10
>No Zachary Taylor

This is a meme list desu

He didn't even include Longstreet, but I don't understand his unpopularity. Lee was relying on him

Sherman was a goon who's only usefulness was having the moral flexibility to commit war crimes.

He sucked at the tactical level, but he was right at the strategic level.

Meme list, here's mine.

1-5 no particular order
William Tecumseh Sherman
Matthew Ridgway
Albert Sydney Johnson
Dwight D Eisenhower
Daniel Morgan

5-10 no particular order
Robert E Lee
Ulysses S Grant
Winfield Scott
Adna Chaffee Jr
Creighton Abrams

Eisenhower was a glorified bureaucrat

Not hard to invade a country whose army was broken a decade early by Norman Schwarzkopf.

>Sherman above Lee or Grant

His greatest victories came against an empty state. He wasn't even a top five union general, he is the most over hyped general of the civil war besides Stonewall Jackson.

Honorable mentions

Casimir Pulaski
Benedict Arnold
Philip Sheridan
John S. Wood
Norman Schwarzkopf
Alexander Vandegrift
James Longstreet

MacArthur proved to be a failure of a wartime commander at every opportunity.

>invade a country with an equally manned military to your coalition (admittedly Ill equipped but a sizable force none the less) half the world away and receive casualties of less than 200 deaths compared to the utter obliteration of Iraqi military forces with casualties as high as 45000 all in less than two months.
The war in Iraq was a shambles but the 2003 invasion is the quintessential invasion of a sovereign nation.
Tommy definitely deserves to be on the list compared to more tactical commanders like Forrest.

>Washington was even better than Napoleon
Jesus Christ the delusion of Burgers.

Longstreet, underrated and the big genius of the civil war

This is the most hilariously butthurt thing ever.

>Find a flaw

"Stormin' Norman" Schwarzkopf, "Fightin' Dick" Richardson, Albert S. Johnston, Friedrich Wilhelm von Steuben, Chesty Puller, and George C. Marshall aren't on the list.

Oh yeah and Admiral Nimitz too

>sanction an import dependent country for 13 years
>famine living conditions
Finland could have successfully invaded Iraq at that point

>MacArthur
Come on, now.

>which tbqh is the paragon of how to invade another country.

How fucking stupid are you?

1-10. Johann Rall

The Iraqi "famine" was Saddam's doing. The food was available, he chose not to distribute any to Shia. During the blockade, the population of both Kurds and Sunni increased, while the Shia population was stagnant. The Kurds had autonomy to distribute grain in their own area, and the Sunnis got priority on food.

Yeah, Black Jack Pershing should definitely be on the list

t. King George the third

Patton is massively overrated. Replace him with Ridgway.

In rough but not strict order:
Sam Grant
Bobby Lee
Matthew Ridgway
Billy Sherman
Ike Eisenhower
Winfield Scott
Black Jack Pershing
Creighton Abrams
Douglas MacArthur
Stormin' Norman Schwarzkopf
