These are gut-wrenching.

No, the pictures are not as bad as the real thing.
When you smell the rotting meat and see bodies so soulless, that is gut-wrenching.

>Komarov's funeral was open-casket as he had arranged

>"d...d...du....dubs......."

Finnish scarecrows.

...

what's the editing of the pic supposed to imply/mean?

...

>"Shiro, this is a fucking suicide mission, save that shit"

Highlighting areas to be censored

...

why should they be censored?
was the editing contemporary and the location of the troops should be kept secret?

...

...

...

It was standard practice to erase anything that could give away the location of troops like road signs incase the photo fell into enemy hands.

Not as gruesome as what's been posted so far, but, a body of a Titanic victim being recovered

A fireman holding the body of a child victim of the SS Eastland disaster. The ship was carrying 2500 people, employees and their families who were being taken to a special employee picnic event; most of the passengers were poor workers whose only chance to take their wives and children on a holiday was this annual company picnic.

Over 800 people died, many of them drowned, and others suffocated and crushed below decks as the ship flipped on its side in just 20 feet of water. Some died of blunt force trauma or drowning after being struck by objects thrown by bystanders, who were attempting to give the people in the water something to hold onto.

70% of the victims were under 25, and about 300 of them were teenagers, children, and infants.

Many witnesses recounted the screams from the victims, both those trapped inside and the people clinging for life in the murky water.

>God, the screaming was terrible, it's ringing in my ears yet

Another witness, who heard the screaming from blocks away, said:

>People were struggling in the water, clustered so thickly that they covered the surface of the river. The screaming was the most horrible of all.
