The battle of Singapore is the biggest British defeat you dumb cunt.

This image is for you OP

*why they hide on their island
And why shouldn't we, it's a rather nice island.

>NOW YOU UNDERSTAND WHY HIDE ON THEIR ISLAND

damn....

Yeah that's sure not an empire alright.

>b-but they can't into army
and they had more land than all you alls, makes you think.

Why are there so many butthurt frogs posting on Veeky Forums right now? Is there a national day in France where everyone goes on Veeky Forums and tries their hardest to insult the Brits?

Daily reminder this is your average French supremacist on Veeky Forums.

It's clearly the empire with the most interesting history.
But when does it begin and end?
My guess:
1st Empire - 1607-1785
2nd Empire - 1815-1956
More or less.

>underages

nah

I wonder who could be behind this post

>It's clearly the empire with the most interesting history.

Far from it
Its influence on history is simply overblown in media due to US dominance

Also, the British Empire as most people know it was built between 1830 and 1890 by conquering backward people in Afroca and Asia
Before that, the British "empire" was irrelevant as shit and smaller than the French, Spanish and even Ottoman ones

>Its influence on history is simply overblown in media due to US dominance

Maybe it's because I've just finished reading Ferguson's book (I don't agree with him all the time) but yeah the US itself is a proof of British influence as well as the spread of free market in the world (because of the specific British colonial system), English language. Part of the reason why it succeeded was because unlike countries like France or Spain Britain had mostly stable government.

Once I ruled the sea, and now this

>Its influence on history is simply overblown in media due to US dominance

Influence =/= interesting however ignoring that diversion.

The influence of the British Empire is huge when you consider their role in starting and leading the industrial revolution and the inventors and thinkers they produced.

>Before that, the British "empire" was irrelevant as shit and smaller than the French, Spanish and even Ottoman ones

Pure hyperbole, whilst they werent the dominant power in Europe they were still one of the larger economies and had one of the best navies.

will argies ever stop being permaBTFO?

forgot

They have 100% victory rate over British in WC.

Ain't even argie but I'm glad they REKT you. Britan should be isolated from Europe

This is the most historically illiterate shit I've read in a while, congrats

>Thinks taking an empty continent is something special
>thinks so highly sends their prisoners to colonize
>lost another colony
