How is the owner in the wrong here? Wages go up costs go up. Thats basic economics

How is the owner in the wrong here? Wages go up costs go up. Thats basic economics

...

Because the culture of the West is almost entirely controlled by the left; we live in a dystopia.

>Take your political statement and shove it.

pretty much sums it up
consumers don't care, if they think your services are too expensive then they will go somewhere else, they don't give a FUCK about why it's so expensive

Not sure what that has to do with the capitalist OP but thanks for playing

Does the left really think everyone can make $22 an hour without a rise in prices? Thats absurd

He isn't. But as a customer, I'm not paying the 3% extra since it appears that the restaurant only informs you after you've consumed their services. Either reflect the increase in cost in your product price or explicitly state it upfront so I can decide whether to do business with you or not.

He's not. Socialists expect business owners to run at a loss, because muh feels. Note how they are apparently so concerned with the employees making a good wage, yet they bitch and moan about paying an extra 3% on the bill.

he's not wrong he's just being a passive aggressive dickhead by making it a surcharge and pointing it out, unnecessarily enraging his customers with political rhetoric

Whats really interesting is the left wants to take away the waitress pay model and thats about the only job that fluctuates directly with inflation. A 15% tip is still 15% no matter how the price of food fluctuates. It baffles me that they preach for huge wage increases for minimum wage then turn around and say it would be better if waitresses just got stripped of gratuity and given 10$/hr. Thats a substantial pay decrease for most waitresses except maybe like waffle house or some shit

Leftists believe profit is inherently evil and see no justification whatsoever in anyone making a significantly higher salary than anyone else.

Their response to your statement would merely be something akin to, "Then people at the top shouldn't be paid as much." It's all about whittling people down to the same ant-like status.

Because they care more about virtue signaling than actual people

>passive aggressive dickhead

It's barely worth mentioning knowing that his customers have to pay a higher price because the government put a gun to his head

There's a resutrant that does the opposite of this.

>In order to pay our workers a livable minimum wage, a surcharge of $0.75 has been added to your order. Thank you for your understanding.
>no complaints

Its just the extreme left that have these people that make a massive fuss over everything.

>ant like status

Correct. People can't be trusted because they're flawed and dumb sheeple. Hur dur the state needs to take charge. We know what's good for you sheeple.

I should clarify that they are charging the 75 cents in order to pay their workers above the minimum wage, with the implication that the minimum wage is not a livable wage. Which it shouldnt be but that's another story.

As a waiter, it was nice skimping a few off the cash being made.

Tip in cash is $100. Report as $75.

U mad?

Tax evasion is the patriotic duty of all americans.

Calm down capone. Youre doing the same shit as every waitress ever

They have a sign at the hostess stand

capitalism is what makes housewives resist big nigger dick while chad works 9-5

How do you enslave an entire country?

First you import workers to drive wages down

You penalize employers by forcing them to pay taxes to hire people.

You incentivize the creation and deployment of Artificially intelligent robots.

Finally you jet off to your private island with your tangible wealth.

See, capitalism works!

I agree..

I have a question as well.

If a menu has a certain price on it, am I legally obligated to pay any higher than that price? I get that it's "rude" not to tip, but legally I don't have to pay shit beyond what was on the menu + tax, right?

>It is good to allow labour immigration for work that native citizens do not want to do

This is often said to justify an abuse of economic differences between countries by insulting native citizens, who are supposedly too lazy to do certain types of work. In reality, native citizens would be willing to do that work if only they were paid in accordance with the true value of the work, but the employers prefer to let foreigners from countries where the cost of living is lower do the work for unrealistically low wages. It is the phenomenon of "wanting a champagne taste on a beer budget". The hidden costs are in the unemployment or social security benefits of the native citizens supposedly unwilling to work, in the writing off and insulting part of the native population, in the destruction of the social structure of society, and in the many other problems inherent to immigration. An essential cause of this abuse is that certain types of work — in particular, manual and technical work — are priced below their true value (underpaid), while other types of work, such as higher "white collar" functions, are priced too high, sometimes extremely far too high. The wages for some jobs are such that, given the cost of living in an advanced society, one can hardly afford to take a job like that, and those who do are what one calls "working poor" and need multiple jobs to survive.

>Importing migrants
>Taxes
>Subsiding AI

None of this is capitalism

All of our problems can be perfectly summed up by the yearly growth of state power

could be pane e couperto

Alright well if it's not obvious enough, then it wasn't clear and I'm not paying. I'm also obviously not leaving a tip after that....

You dont have to but youll probably have your food fucked with or at the very least get horrendous service next time you return. Its not illegal but it does make you an asshole and you should be aware of the consequences

>sign on the door
>notice on the menu
>explanation on the reciept
Seems prettty fucking clear to me. Why wouldnt you tip? The waitress doesnt control the prices of shit

This. And then when the owner eventually shuts down because he can't afford to operate at a loss, they wonder "where all the good-paying jobs went".

Like pottery. I mean, cleaning dishes and carrying trays isn't exactly dangerous, difficult or particularly mentally challenging, so expecting a wage commensurate with the median household income is patently ridiculous, no matter who your employer is.

Make no mistake, if you're earning $15/hr as a waiter or dishwasher or other entry-level staff of a restaurant, you should consider yourself extremely lucky. It's not a high-skill job, and there are more people than ever in the workforce that are more than happy to work for less.

that is fine if you only go to places one time and never again. but know you are burning your bridge with these places.

People can make more without prices going up for sure. the .01% will have slightly less money and the rest of us will have way more.

Thats socialism. Restaurants run on extremely thin profit margins. If you cut too much theyll collapse

>Restaurant industry
>0.1% will be impacted

You're attempting to the wealth gap in the most retarded way possible, by destroying economic growth, people's ability to get on the job ladder, and furthering the push for robot staff instead of teenagers

Robot staff is awesome, either three day work week for society or the .01% steals the gains and we are still poor

>three day work week

The intelligence singularity will destroy the worlds economy

I've seen some signs taped up in local shops with similar messages regarding why their prices have gone up.

They were a little less passive aggressive about it, but the point stands.

The increase in minimum wage in states that have passed these measures have generally resulted in a reduction of overall gross wages paid out.

Big fucking surprise

>The increase in minimum wage in states that have passed these measures have generally resulted in a reduction of overall gross wages paid out
Source?

>the left crying about corporations making political statements

That's a laugh
